dave carving the sunday roast ? :rotfl:
choille ... if you oogle "lochs and glens" [man I drive to airport ] he has done lots of drone filming of the area.. you may recognise some areas .
weather is mild here now ! infact not even need for a coat weather !
went BnQ for a looksee yesterday and came out with 6 rolls of wallpaper for my dining room for the princely sum of £12.. the very last of the sale items but these were tucked at the back of a pile of allsorts.. they were £3 a roll but when I got to checkout she took more £s off so I didn't complain....:D of course I had ,had no intention to decorate dining room but couldn't waste a bargain...:rotfl:
I have one pheasant here [aptly called mr pheasant] who cheekily waits by my patio doors on a morning, follows me to the bird table and then tucks in to his corn I scatter , to which aprox 20 pop out of the hedgerow to join him... he seems to be the "advance party".... ive also got 4 moorhens that join them..
im STILL trying to find the right home for little terrier..:( read a sign outside the dogs trust shop in lym today... over 3000 calls nationwide for them to take puppies/dogs since xmas !!!
been watching "the Yorkshire vet "" ch 5 and its so lovely to see a program that's not just for the camera ! very down to earth ... hilarious at times ... real james herriot !0 -
Oh, Alfie you are kidding about the dogs - that's horrific No0

Probably the worst time of year for the Dogs' Trust, I'd imagine. Christmas has well and truly worn-off.
I wish it had worn-off around my waist! I was still smirking, until I tried to put my chainsaw trousers on.....Although it's only a wee thing, I really need them for the bit where I'm actually in the hedge and everything is close-quarters; it's so easy to start sawing a foot or a leg with some of the positions one's forced into.
Anyway I'm pleased. Worked for 4 hours and the battery was still 3/4 full. It's so precise I can even do laying with it, although it's effortless too, so 6" - 8" trunks go in about 5 seconds.
Garden tools are often a big let-down, but this one is exactly what I hoped it would be.0 -
what make/model etc is it dave ?0

Alfie - I can't find the drone footage.
Do you have a link?
Goodness I can't get over all those dogs not wanted. It's so horrid that they are breeding and breeding puppies for people who tire of them so easily.
Good for you with the bargain wall paper.0 -
what make/model etc is it dave ?
It's this: http://www.stihl.co.uk/STIHL-Products/PRO-Cordless-Power-System/Cordless-Li-Ion-telescopic-pole-pruners/22121-1587/MSA-200-C-BQ.aspx
Pete reckons it's for girls, but then he drives one of these for general work:

However, lots of pros are now switching to battery saws for climbing. Both the big manufacturers do a top handled saw especially for them.0 -
Sthil is a good make - I had a petrol one years ago - I think it's still in the shed but it doesn't work. I should maybe get it seen to.0

Just had lots of issues posting.
Half of my last post was missing. I lost three more after that. Grrrr! Page just went blank and the notice came up saying my message was too short....it was about 6 paragraphs!
Anyway, I've worked it out. I was blaming a Firefox update, but it wasn't that; it was one of these entities that lurk in pages on the Internet and my security took a dislike to whatever it was. Anyway, I 'allowed' it and everything's working again.0 -
That's so very annoying - sometimes I've retrieved posts by pressing the back button, but sometimes not.0
