Massive thunder cracks so must be a warm front coming in - hopefully.

I was just coming out of Morrisons in Bideford when the cheery chap on the radio said, "Maureen tells us it's snowing on Beaford Moor!"

As that's exactly where I was going, I was just a little concerned. :(

It was still snowing when I got there, but just soggy, wet stuff and no threat whatever. The roads have been running in rivers here, so yesterday's grass cutting was well-timed. :)

Last night's moon was a biggie, wasn't it? It made me jump, because I'd brush-cut down through our mini-wood and it crept up over the hedge while I was doing that.

We had snow overnight but it's pretty much gone already. Still a very cold wind though brrr!! Off out tonight to see a folk singer at one of my favourite local hotels, I'm expecting it to be pretty icy up there.

The moon has been gorgeous the last couple of nights with lots of stars visible too. We had a walk along a pier at about 7pm and usually it's pitch black, but the moon lit the way for us, it was lovely (but freeeezing!!).

Big news for me is that we finally have tentative plans for a move up North :j Not as far as we would like (D&G) but it's looking doable. Just talking through ideas at the moment :D

    Whoopee! :j

D&G is the bit many forget, (like this area;)) so that gets you better value.

And again, like here, there's nothing wrong with it at all! :A

OK tentative, I know, but tentative is a good start. :D

A G&T is the bit I tend to forget, so I open a bottle of red. That makes me forget some more!

HUGE amount of snow over here, traffic grinds to a halt, life threatened. Must have nearly been an inch!!! In places. It lasted the whole of lunchtime before it had gone!!!! Meanwhile, American colleagues have snow piled on their sidewalk to head-height, and just get on. You lot up north don't fret like us soft southerners, and you actually get a decent amount to frolic in.

Sheep all squeeze into one shelter and wiggle to fit. Very sweet. Then, we go past, and they think; "FOOD!!!" and all rush out. No food (last fed an hour ago) so, disconsolate and depressed, they all squeeze back in again and wriggle and juggle. Of course, we pass their shelters on the way back up from the river, so they all come out for "FOOD!!!!"... and on we go. Keeps them amused. Us too. Quite like the idea of crawling in for a snooze myself. mmmmm ... woolly :D

The moon was stunning this am at seven, setting in the West as the sun was rising opposite. The moon was actually brighter because it was higher. Took a photo, but it was past its best. Fingers were freezing; wind chill was bitter.

(Nah, moon must've been moving too much, it and the hill were both blurry. Have some cuddly sheep instead!)

OK I admit it, I went out at 15.30 to cut up some more logs and by 16.00 I was inside again! :o

    It's officially long-John season.

While I was in the yard, I saw an ambulance leaving Horse Woman's place, shortly followed by her son's car, so whatever the news is, it's probably not good. At least there were no flashing lights.

DW hasn't been going in there because she's still suffering with the bug, picked-up at Christmas. Believe it or not, so is the person who gave it to her; these winter germs take some shifting. :(

Oh, it is maybe going to come to some sort of head with HW.

Sometimes it's good to not be there as it can kinda prop things up - I suppose, but it's a shame when it's not going good for her.

Very cold here but the wind has dropped. Loads of goats & deer on the roadside on the way home, but the roads were better than we expected them to be.
    D&G is a beautiful area.
