Alfie it normally happens in the first 5 days. So your other puppies should be ok. If a puppy is fading. It doesn't come on, and doesn't feed properly ..and it looks like it's doing everything in very slow motion.

Weather has been bad here today.. a few branches down on the lane.

Suspect my guts are reacting to Brexit. ;)

It's not worth reacting to at present. Nothing much will happen for a good while yet, and by the time it does, there will be a few more problems for the French and Germans to sort out, without us. :p

Not that I was an Exiteer, despite being an old fogey. :o I might have been persuaded, had it not been rather obvious that there was no detailed plan. Indeed, the morning after, it was only Nicola Sturgeon who looked as if she'd considered the possibility of the vote going the way it did! :rotfl:Not slow in coming forward, that one. ;)

But I digress, I'm sorry you've had a rubbish time lately. Sad and worrying things do seem to come in threes, but that means it's all good for July and the summer hols.....hopefully! :)

Alfie - sorry about the puppy, as others have said a sad inevitability for some.

Hope the finger joint is not so sore - sounded really tender.

Maggie - hope that you are feeling a bit brighter. It's not a great time you're having. The gut stuff is often stress - I find in any case.
You could do with some easier news & just being able to potter about without all the stress.

Got a quote for outdoors stuff, but it's a daily rate so not really sure if it's good or what.

The dirt that's getting dragged in is bad as Oh doesn't take his boots off!

Torrential rain at times here - real chucking it down.
Just been trying to list stuff as 75% off FVF until the 3rd July - but will owt sell? I should get a proper job, but no one would have me.

I expect CTC will be making a night of it tonight! corner-kick-smiley-emoticon.gif

I've noticed it's a bit slow on the Bay. I've a few items I want to list, but comparables have been very slow, so I've held off.

Not much to report. We had more strong winds today in the afternoon. A couple of young trees in the woodland have been slightly damaged by this squally weather, which is odd because it's normally more sheltered there. However, south westerlies can align with that wee valley and then it becomes a wind tunnel.

Bought some exterior paint fo the re-rendered front.....and we don't like it.:( DW wanted to be a bit more creative, but as I told her, "People have those boring colours because they work!"

    Very expensive undercoat. :o

I was thinking of going a 'creative' grey for our render, Dave. I'm not so sure now, probably end up with magnolia or white :D

Loved the Wales game last night and I'm not usually a fan of football :j

    hi folks....

ive had a "drab" week, this bluddy virus thing still has me... chesty cough, no energy and no appetite ! ive sort of carried on cos I cant be idle but its taking its toll now...
took mum to hosp today for her 1st cataract op... all went well, no problems. gave a lift home to a woman there who'd gone by taxi and wasn't far off our route home [well we had a forest drive trip]. her husband has parkinsons and cant drive now.. didn't want her waiting for a "town" taxi driver to take the fare.. felt sorry for her there on her own and she seemed pleased. so I had 2 elders in the car with only 2 good eyes between them !!:rotfl:
but that's it ... only one good deed at a time ;)

going to take out tilly ,the new hoss, tomorrow in the cart... a friends coming to "ride shotgun"... have to pick our route as theres a cycle event on somewhere in the forest..

pups are doing well now.. im supplementing the 2 smallest with a small bottle of milk at night.. dolly daydream is good but I don't think her milk is a'plenty as much now.

ive been training bailey [young lab im looking after] to clicker commands. he can hear it from the end of the garden !! he took 1 minute to suss it meant "treat" ... he sits immediately..:rotfl:im trying to deter him from jumping up so using distraction methods.. hes getting there.
his owner txt me from Majorca and said shed been mugged
broad daylight in an exclusive little marina area.. went to supermarket, on return to her car , man and woman demanded her bag, produced a knife and they stole her purse.. she was very scared ! police didn't seem interested tho !
she did say that they didn't notice her diamond rings she had on and had they she would have fought like **** as they weren't getting those !!

right im away to my bed.. have a good weekend y'all x

That bug is very hard to shift, alfie. Even after most of the main symptoms are gone, it leaves you drained, so if you're old like me, you think, "I'm obviously getting past it!" :(

But eventually it goes....only to pop up a couple of times more...before it finally gives in.

Hopefully, we are all immune to it by then! :j

Spent much of the day trying to locate a drain. "Dig here!" said our builder, so I did, but he's probably used to normal houses, not this one!

Anyway, it wasn't there. Only 1m from the inspection chamber, so you'd think I could hit it with a 1m long trench.

So, I did what I should have done in the first place: stuck a probe up it. Only 20cm from the inspection chamber, it did a 90 degree turn!
It's lucky that drain only takes water from the kitchen sink, but even so, it won't be turning violently like that when I've done with it. ;)

In other news, I discovered today that the annuity I've not been taking has lost value since last year, and lost even more since last week's vote.

It's just as well I've been looking at alternative income ideas:

Hope you get better soon Alfie..sometimes the aftermath of a bug is worse than the bug iyswim

My 2 ornate radiators arrived on Friday. Via letting the plumber order them on the cheap. And I am well pleased. They were a wrong order or something. These will go down stairs. Going to have normal radiators upstairs for now. And will change them one by one when I can afford them. The plumber is booked to come tomorrow. And he said he will prob be finished by Thursday...

Took 8 store pigs to market on Friday... not happy with the prices, .but that's livestock markets for you.. up and down like a pros knickers lol...

Bought 2 lovely sows yesterday... brought one home, and going to pick the other one up next week... really sweet natured..

Talking about sweet natured.. the little dark sow we picked up a few months back has really picked up and is in lovely condition now.. has doubled in weight, and all her bad skin condition has gone... so trying to find a nice pet home for her now.. so if you know of anyone...

Will try and upload some pics later ..

Really do need to list things on eBay. Every if it is quiet on there, as they def will not sell stuck in my shed lol...

Hope the virus goes soon Alfie - I lost over a stone in weight which was a plus for me, but my appetite just went for weeks. Over it now but it was a begger to shift.

Listed stuff last night but it is very slow but there is a 75% off FVF so an incentive of sorts.

Very heavy rain yesterday, just chucked on & off all day - same today so far & quite cool weather wise. I thin we may go for a run somewhere as it is good to escape the tasks that are glaring at us.
