Very scary aerial walk....
Note magnificent trees!0 -
Had one of these headband lamps arrive from Amazon. Meant for camping etc. but it's just the job when out after dark looking for slugs/snails on the foliage.0

Dave how very adventurous that you all agreed to go.
I would have preferred the trees as well I think.
IHS - head torches are the biz. I couldn't drown the snails so we would take them to the golf course & put them on the greens.
Just spent a while listing stuff on the bay - sold a few cheap items so gave me a bit of an incentive. I waste so much time on there trying to sell stuff it's silly. Very heavy down pours all day & the mountains went all purple again at sun set - gorgeous.0 -

But she's right too; it's important to challenge yourself now and again. There are others jumping out of planes, walking 22miles in a day and stuff like that to raise money for good causes.....all ladies, I might add.
Me, I just want to get on with my roof! Teetering around up there is bad enough.:(0 -
Yes, it's a challenge just doing all the jobs that need doing. I seem to be way behind & don't seem to be getting anywhere fast, but sometimes you just have to go with it.
Good that there are plenty of good causes getting done,I just wish that there was a good deed done instead of the walk or jumping out of a plane I just wish there was a beach clean up or a car wash - as there was in Ullapool the other week - I think it's good if they actually do something useful for the money - If you see what I mean.0 -
Morning all,
Went to the royal welsh spring show yesterday..
It was ok, looks as though they didn't do the eco horizons area this year, it also felt there wasn't as many stall holders there this year.
Bought 3 fleece jumpers for £10 each.. they were regatta, grasshopper and tresspass, one of the jumpers was tagged up at ,£40!!! So pleased with them ideal for around the ranch..
Also bought some booze lol.
The price had gone up to £15 each to get in, so if this year is anything to go by , might think twice about going next year.
That pig I thought was pregnant.. 😎 isn't, looks as though she blows up, and then in a few hours looks thin.. didn't think that pigs suffered from bloat?? ..
Re.. Lola. I can't imagine the house without her.. she is sooooo funny ..I am sure is was a magpie in another life.. anything that she finds she puts on/in the bed, or brings them to us, anything that shines, like money lol...Work to live= not live to work0 -
I hold choille responsible for this............;)
took bimble to vet this morning as he was hopping on 3 legs all weekend... what did he do when we got there... put all 4 down and ran in !!!! vet found a tiny bit that was sore but no emergency !
then asked if he could just "feel" to see if dolly may be preggies... he said it didn't feel like it :j but would do a scan to confirm ...
she IS....:o so "dolly mixtures" en route....
I saw 3 and he said "multiple pups" which means more than 3!
she was 13.8 kilos 4 weeks ago, she is 15.7 now !!
no longer than 2/3 weeks to go.. so gotta get my skates on to prepare...
meanwhile bimble is skitting round the garden...on 4 legs...
may have been his way of me getting dolly to vet ??
oh poop...0 -
CTC - Animals can gas up if you move them - also are you feeding any onions? I seem to remember that they aren't good for them for that reason, but could be wrong.
Lola sounds so adorable.
These things to go to can get expensive & It does get off putting for many.
There's a music thing on down the road - never anything on here, but it's £15 to go each & then with a drink or two it adds up. It will probably get busy as there seems to be a lot of tourists about even though it's early yet.
I do miss living too far away from events, but I suppose that I top up when I go to the East Coast - I go in museums, galleries & exhibitions - cram them in - so to speak.
I think if we move I'd move to a few miles of somewhere that has stuff going on - defo.
You will be busy Alfie - sure you aren't running a puppy farm - only kidding, but in poor taste as those people that do that are the dregs.
Nice again here, really good to see the sun, but the wind is chilly.0 -
Keep trying to post but it allows me the response page but I cannot type!
We are way behind weather wise; the elms are flowering and only just opening their leaves.
Trying to get the plot under control and planted but was stymied by the lurgie. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0
