Its wild cousin has been lying on its side outside the back door here for half the winter, so is therefore doing booger all.

I often wonder about the fate of the Sun King I planted in an internal courtyard at school in 2000. It could be spectacular by now, but there again, the whole space might be roofed over and turned into an i-pad store for all I know! :rotfl:

It's not a major job; just replacing old felt and battens plus a bit of straightening, so the house looks the part. Not much point tarting it all up if it looks as if the roof is going to fail. It's [STRIKE]really OK [/STRIKE] not [STRIKE]very structural [/STRIKE]too bad......honest.

I have a confession !


I thought "dafty" was a SHE....:o
my reasons being it is usually women that are as soft as **** with regards taking in animogs.. the "HE'S" usually just tolerate/grump .... and don't seem to talk affectionally about them... [LIR'S OH being an exception !]


so I take my hat off to you dafty , and I used to be on the receiving end of unwanted/talked into/sad story's animogs..
that's to say 10 hoss's, 3 dogs, cat ,owl, is not a patch on what I used to have ! mabel my pig was a landmark around here... not just her size but her antics !:D

I have borrowed and set up an incubater in the kitchen...
I have purchased 6 x polish and 6 x gigantic brahmas eggs.
I set up the icubater with a lot of 'oogling and have it set at 99-100 f. and 56% humidity. this seems to average what is suggested !:o


does anyone know if this is ok ? they have only gone in [the eggs] yesterday and today so I can adjust....

Temp sound about right , humidity seems a bit high to start off with.. But should be OK.. What inci is it??

Took 5 well grown on weaners to market today, and brought them home again..prices are soooo low, its crazy.. Due to Russia putting an import bsn on pork from Europe, there is a HUGE glut in Europe,,

The pig/ pork industry is on its knees...

Not only is it effecting the super big breeders, its now effecting the little hobbyist breeder ..

Hi Dafty..your place sounds brilliant...

Was going to take some crap to a small poultry auction today (they also sell bric a brac etc), but the weather is so horrible, not going to bother...

Kitten cat has started licking her fur again, and starting to get a bald patch coming again... Last time.. After some visits to the vet, we worked it out it was the lidle tinned cat food, as when I stopped using it, she stopped... I am using asda now, but I thought nk they might have changed ingredients or something??

So it will be boiled chicken and some liver etc for the next few days. ( the thing is I just can't change her food, all of them will have to change )

all the water has softened the ground and this wind is sending em over ..... seems to be predominantly FIRS..


I have had a cold all week that wont shift.. its not a streamer, more a cougher one..:(


ive decided on carpet for my bedroom, not the cheapest but its the colour I want.. about bluddy time !


ruby is coming along great :T she's had her first encounter being long reined on the road and she didn't do too badly.. she has had her hoofs trimmed [she HATED this before].. the man is pleased with her progress though ..


I wish I could transfer the video from FB to here of her but haven't a clue how to ??

The rivers in our area/ valley is on high flood alert in certain places..

The rain and the wind haven't stopped for at least 24 hours..

I think there is a way.. I have done it before, by fumbling my way through lol..

I have been meaning to ask, but have been a bit frightened to, just incase I upset you . hows the old lab?? As I say I have been thinking about her alot...since Christmas..

oh great if you can ,ive tried but im thick


old gal had her vet check on Friday actually and she was amazed she is so resiliant ! heart etc sound as a bell. back legs still wibbly wobbly but she is pain free .. [she does have 1 tab a day] appetite good and tho shes deaf as a post she knows my hand signals .. I will know when its her day..
