Looks bad out there, but the chicken water isn't entirely frozen, so it's really only a few degrees of frost. :)

My brushcutter's with the repair man, who seems to think the symptoms are terminal. He says Hondas don't last past 6 years, which is not what I heard when they sold it to me! If I have to replace, I'll go somewhere more convenient than a shed up a hill in the middle of nowhere.

Thought I'd finished tiling, but DW came home last week and said, "Oh look, that one's different from all the others!"

I hadn't noticed. :o It's not that obvious, but one has a slightly different surface, so it had to come up. :(

You are getting on well, CTC. Plumbers are 'definitely' coming next week to us, so a real bath could be on the cards soon. By the way, I found this site useful for basic bathroom stuff, rather than risk taking a punt on something from China:

  • Went to our local diy store that is closing, didn't realise it was next month, they had an ex display shed for £20!! And a lovely wooden seat feature thing reduced down to £40!! Cut ali g story short hubby wouldn't come over to have a look last night, went back this morning at they had just been sold!!! That will teach me,
But I did pick up 2 wooden planters with trellis for £5 each, and another garden wooden plant feature thing for £20

We asked about the display kitchens, but they had all been sold..

We looked at other things then, and they had lovely work tops reduced to £43 .. And we managed to blag them for £35 each.. Not wood that I wanted , BUT.. As we are not having a Belfast sink now.. And we really do need to watch every penny.. I can live with that compromise .. We also picked up 3 door frames reduced down to £5 each..

The kitchen carcasses are reduced by 25% , so going to work out exactly what we need and go back and see if we can blag more money off lol..

Home for a quick cuppa, and back to do some work outside, its cold, but nice

The plumber was the first one we got in who we now know is not qualified & is fine for tiling & basic stuff but doesn't know how to design a heating/water system.

Agas & Rayburns seem very tricky & you need someone who really knows them to sort the system out. We will get someone here on Friday to talk us thro & he can have a real look at what is happening & what is not happening with it.

The brush cutters are alright to fix if you have someone on hand who likes tinkering with them, but we had a loan of one from someone who used to be here but we would end up having to get stuff welded or new bits machined up in a factory we knew did that sort of thing.

Well I just eventually got the price out of the skins folks - the price has rocketed.

2016 is proving very expensive so far.

Yes. Maybe Rayburn have blueprint on their web-site for adding HW/CH for the model you have?

IHS - they do seem very tempermental but seems that ours been plumbed wrong & the pump is in the wrong place, but we have someone coming Friday to take a look. Someone who has worked with them for a long time.

Lucielle - I would like that - I will give you a bell.

CTC - Less than I paid to get them tanned.......!!!!

Quite cold here & a bright moon - cracking frost.

    HI ALL .....
im gonna have a moan !

my son has a medica problem involving PAIN... seen doctor 3 times now and all he keeps saying is "take pain killers"...
he hasn't even examined him !
son had blood tests done and scan , [of his own volition] and yesterday he walked into a&e in so much pain.... they said his doctor has to refer him to a neurologist... docs app today... FLIPPIN PAINKILLERS AGAIN!... he had to force him to refer him.

he did the same with me ... infact said I cant be in that much pain or id take painkillers every day...... I said I didn't think it healthy to KEEP taking them FOREVER , every day ...
yep... he gave me a prescription for ....more painkillers !! I forced him to refer me by asking "ok, so will you take full responsibility if my back problem [syrnx] goes tittts up by not scanning it to check the size"..........

sadly the best doctor we had has semi retired and this one is bluddy useless !

    moan over ;)
