Yes, it does deteriorate over time. I would sling it out and buy new.

That's a good thing you did re the cat's Alfie. They have a rescue place over East & you can put pet food tins in a box at the supermarket. It's a good idea. I've never been to it as I'd want to bring them all home i've been told.
Didn't get as much done today as I hoped I would. I feel jiggered though.

He's getting hospital transport home. Neighbour is also going & coming back again tomorrow as he has an appointment, so he'll get 'speared' rotten - quizzed!

I would have another cat, but hairy cat would probably bite them to death as he nearly has me.

It's really gusty outside. But I think the rain has just stopped. It's horrid the amount of water lying everywhere.

It does I have spoken. I used some out of date yeast not so long ago in a loaf that turned out not to be a loaf.

Espalier apple is a good idea :D I think I shall wait to see for myself what the sun is actually like but I like the idea very much so and hopefully not to difficult to grow in the north east.

Mr Choille says that the man in the bed opposite has 11 llamas as he has thousands of free range hens & keeps them to scare off the foxes.

    Still torrential rain.

BT phoned and said that if they come out & the phone is working I get charged. It's off on, but on at the mo so I am scared, so I said well it's working now. It's been so unhandy & annoying. BT bahhhhhhhhhh

    Bonkers!

As you know, I'm always going on about some of the odd or diffcult neighbours we have in the barn conversions. Well, with the new waste, food waste and recycling system which our council have just introduced, I thought I'd get ahead of the game and put a notice up, reminding everyone that no more collections will happen till 31st December. :(

I'm just returning from doing that, when I hear a strange revving, scaping noise in the lane. It's the chief refuse c0ck-up woman herself; the one who finds it nigh impossible to follow any rules.

But wait! What is the weird noise emanating from her vehicle?

I look, and she's driving her car with the handbrake on. It's a jolly good handbrake too, because on the wet road, the rear wheels aren't going round at all!

But instead of stopping to unload refuse, she pulls out and starts heading in the direction of Exeter, making maybe 25 - 30mph before disappearing from view. The wheels still aren't turning!

I'll have to review my opinion of this person, who has caused problems consistently, by putting out stuff for collection in the wrong place on the wrong day, and sometimes the wrong stuff too. She obviously isn't wilfully uncooperative, she's just plain loony!:rotfl:.
