choille and Mr choille - I do hope that you are both OK and in Inverness.

Cannot get near the plot as it has checked it down every weekend for over a month.

Everything went fine - I'm home now.

'Checked it down' Ras? You sound terribly posh......;)

    Hurrah! :T

Let's hope OH's recovery is swift and as liberating as DW's was.:j

It's just all the piddling about and waiting beforehand, while they try cheap options, lose your notes, re-schedule etc. It was many months in both cases. :(

Sorry - phone & internet is off on off on - so blubby annoying. Was trying to post earlie but no joy.

Mr Choille will be home Monday so that is good news. It's been a bit of a movie these past days. Buses - Stagecoach - in Inverness is broken - I spent a fortune on taxis as buses were not arriving. Start of week it was freezing fog with lethal pavements - now it's about 18 oC & blowing a hooly. The sheep are in mud, but seem really well.
I'll post this before I lose the connection...again.

glad to hear OH will be home soon :D
but sorry you had such a mission whilst you were there !:(

I was on a mission today... took old fridge to the dump and happened to enquire about a rumour that some horses illegally grazing nearby had been rounded up and "disposed of "
but apparently they were claimed and reprieved at the last minute.. whoever it was had them in a waterboard field who didn't seem too bothered but the "owner" opened the fence to let them into neighbouring barren land which led them into the middle of an agrigates company... too dangerous for lorries etc so warnings went up they would be "gone" if not removed..
panic was evident with locals that they had been destroyed...
be interesting to know where they are now as in very poor condition..
thing is you cant give them away at the moment !:o

glad that my lot are safe, cosy and healthy..

for some reason my Christmas spirit seems to have ground to a halt ? I cant seem to gear up to finish d!cor ?

the "ugly sister" is in town for a few days [6 months later !] so hope mum isn't too fraught... I stay out of the way..;)

    :beer:Happy Belated birthday Lucielle.

Beautiful kittens Alfie. Gizmo looks like them but very fluffy - like a feline Malamute. I pressed the YouTube link & he was fascinated with their antics which is really odd as he hasn't paid any attention to telly or the PC before now.

Dave hope that the mower is the ticket & that the heating & stuff get sorted soon.
I don't think I would ever do the self build again without pots of cash. In hindsight I would have flogged the plot once gaining the planning permission & made enough to buy somewhere else, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

CTC - lovely tree - really love that crimson colour of decoration. Hope son gets a full time slot if he wants it & it is enjoyable for him.

IHS - that's got to be the most fab orchid I've ever seen.

Dave birch you can almost burn green I've found & it grows really fast. I would plant it for fuel if I didn't have tons of the stuff self seeding everywhere.

    The winds really gusting up.
I was out sealing some doors that have been hung. The chap left the plastic on & I removed the wee loos one & the door is all patchy white, so I've left it as it won't look right. Looks like water damage, but must have happened at the factory. What a pain.

Thanks for all your good wishes. OH seems in good spirits so that is lovely & reasurring. Can't wait to get him home. Seems he's having good food with puddings & soup as well as main courses.
