BG insulation guy has just left and he refuses to inspect until the electricians tidy things up and finish properly. It's an elfin safety matter. :(

I'm OK with that, because it means I can now put some pressure on both plumbers and electricians......However it also means we're not even in the queue yet.

Remember, it was only last week that Mr Rod was a no show.....from Monday to Friday.

But this week he's really done well, so I now pronounce him let off. He isn't finished, but he'll be back Monday and Tuesday probably....err..hopefully. :o

We haven't had his bill for June/July yet! :rotfl:

I can't raise the plumber, or the electricians .... I think it's the Lazarus Friday fail effect. :wall:

Edit: Speaking of fails, I'm still waiting for my dinner. The new ovens are excellently equipped with 3 different kinds of timer, but it seems DW & I can't handle any mode reliably. We were wondering why it was all taking so long, till we realised it had switched itself off half an hour previously. Really don't like cold fish pie! _pale_

When after going around loafs of tile places, we walked into a place a friend recommended, that we didn't know existed even though it is on the main route into the city..and the first tiles we seen, we bought... They were really nice.. More money than I wanted to pay, even with managing to haggle a huge discount ..
These are the tiles, in grey, so they look textured, by not so the look like a flagstone effect

IHS what a gorgeous fish! The more you talk about your aquarium the more tempted I am to reinstate our tank somewhere :D

CTC, those tiles aren't a million miles from the ones we put in the hallway, utility & cloakroom. We wanted something with a natural looking finish and non-slippery when wet. :)

I didn't realise there really is a Betta fish IHS. I thought you just meant it was betta than the others. :o

Not much going on here. DW has a horrible cold and it was too wet to do anything outdoors until after lunch. I'm prepping the plants for a tough winter and moving anything borderline into the polytunnel where I can keep them dry if not frost-free.
