Bailey wins hands-down on 'adorable,' though. :A

EDIT: Not my brickwork. This is the bit we havent done. That hideous fireplace has to go! :D

I remember when your cats were tiny Dave :), they grow so quickly!

Still waiting on quotes. The few we have had so far have varied wildly for exactly the same materials and work with one being more than double the cost of the other  We also spoke to another company yesterday that we have used in the past and they pointed out problems with the flooring we were considering so that needs a total rethink.

More people coming today so the decisions continue :rotfl:

    Hello, did someone say PUPPY?

    Anyone remember Me?

    :).

Missing you all. Not much going on here. The most exciting news is that I thought I had killed my fuscia moving it at a stupid time, but with a bit of a scratch it seems to be hanging in there.

Today suddenly feels ' reet autumn like' here. I keep catching colds one on top of the other, and we are two or three trees down the row of pears in the season, and up the track only the quince is still bravely hanging on to the tree. Our table has seen us eat squash, foraged hazelnuts, marrows, all the picked and stored peaches, and while I still haven't really mastered drying apple slices in the range, as fast as I try they get eaten. :).

I am so not a premade goods person that I have surprised my self over the last month with this cold, the need for hot fluids has been immense. I can recommend as a treat drink the limited edition robe a, its like non alcoholic mulled wine. I find a mug at night makes me feel a little well indulged. However, today its so chill I think I might just go and take one now, instead of the healthy green tea I have been taking in the afternoon.

Oh, only other news, three marans have joined us, a black, a blue and a colour I have never seen before....we won't see eggs out of them till spring of course, but....hey ho. Still so few chickens they are all in the back garden hopefully helping with the fox situation. Still feels weird to have so few!

    Have a safe journey..

Talking of dark mornings.. Anyone know when the clocks go back?? I think it's normally the end of October??

I have been setting up an etsy shop yesterday..worth a try... Alot of people, are saying it is slow in the begining, and its all about networking to get views for your listings ( this is where fb comes in handyas there are certain fb pages where you just view each others ships and listings etc) the more views you get, the higher up in the product search you go..

Thinking now that online sales will be our main income, I don't want to put all my eggs in the eBay basket..

Def getting colder in the nights..

Choille hope hubby is OK..and the trip to the massarge person is working

I hated etsy for a while ( as a buyer and browser) but recently went back to it and love it again. My pm box here is full, but I should get your seller name from you and favourite you :).

Same for me CTC, I use Etsy often and it would be good to add you to my favourite shops list.

Izzy (Wiggy) on the left of photo, Lila (Fluffy) on the right.

No matter what they're called, they get a nickname...and with all the tradesmen, poor 'Fluffy' didn't stand a chance of being anything else! :rotfl:

Lucielle - tried to email you but no luck as your post box is filled up to the gunwhales.

Phone me if you still have my number or email me.

OH is still awaiting a new op date, but we think it will be mid November now, which isn't great.

My puter is off being fixed and it was brand new only a few weeks back. Not pleased with that.

CTC - Etsy, I joined but have yet to list owt, but Ebay is so slow at the mo.

Dave - We got Howden doors - well just three at the mo & skirtings too. Dear but really nice.

My how your cats have grown - that's one chubby fluffy gorgeousness - hearth rug cover. Beautiful.

Rummer - we have laminate in the loo & it looks good. We have bought some for the kitchen - bought it ages ago, but not fitted yet. I would love solid wood - oak flooring but can't stetch to it. Laminate has come on leaps & bounds. B&Q have some good offers on at times. You could decorate yourselves & save a fortune. It's not rocket science.
Artificial grass should be the preserve of green grocers & grave diggers. I have some somewhere as my late brother was employed as one once!

Gorgeous day here. Porpoises frenzedley feeding on a shoal of fish made for lovely views earlier.

LIR good to hear from you, you have been missed.

Choille Not really considering the plastic grass but after years of trying to sort the front garden it would be nice not to have to think about it again :rotfl:

We have decisions to make over the next few days now that we have a rough idea of costs. Loads more flooring to look at…..

Hoping to get out in the garden and get it tidied for the winter too :D
