Yes I think it could have been much worse - all things can be.
I am glad we did not pay him what he demanded - which was ridiculous but we were going to give him some more money but I doubt he'll get that - he can try taking US to court as he's such a cowboy - I thin we should contact trading standards as he's way off the line. We have our facilities - well as much as we think we do! But what if it had been some frail & elderly person. It's totally not on.
Sorry - the page has gone really wide & it's hard to read as I have to scroll to read a sentence - CTC do you think it's the pics - the size of the pics you posted? Possibly just my computer?0 -
Possibly just my computer?
Me too, the pic of the puppy has caused the forum software to go weird.IHS - Did you dig the drains you mentioned yourself? Do you grow veg?
Yes, spent Easter 2014 digging in the mud! No veggies - well I do have a pepper in the kitchen window!
Quite a long day for for me at parents, with family lawyer. Am now power of attorney for dad too, once the paperwork is lodged with Office Of The Public Guardian.0 -
Is that better?? Deleted the puppy PIC,

IHS - Good for you digging the drains a worthwhile thing to do.
Well your garden looks pretty splendid - mine is a disgrace this year. Been neglected due to the weather & being a bit caught up in other stuff.
Been trying to list on the bay this evening, but getting cross eyed now.
Plumber & mate will be here in the morning to sort wee loo cistern - another muck up & other bits & bobs.
Hopefully it will be a bit less midgied tomorrow & the sheeps will get some respite as well as us.0 -
Hoi! That's Mum's old suite you have there, CTC....or ours, because I think we inherited it for a while, or maybe it was DW's grandad's, but anyway, we had one the same.
The ranch pictures show you have made some great progress :A, though I know from this place, it never feels like that.
Sorry for giving you boy names for wee dog, but you said "it" and I presumed......:o
Hopefully, we'll get the immersion back on by the weekend, but there are a few other dead items at that end of the house. One is a shaver/light which hasn't been re-wired and I've just tidied & filled the wall it sits on! Now it looks as if we'll have to cut a channel......:( But hey, that's the sort of thing that happens and I can always fill & paint again.
Cowboy plumber want's lynching, choille, but with the local grapevine, I'll bet he's almost hanged himself anyway.0
