Like this. The indigo might work, but in need it the same blue as the down stairs loo ceiling, and hung upside down, so dark going to light.
However, that would be an arresting piece of wall art0 -

Um, its called saraille I think.
( the ceiling in my downstairs loo is very dark blue, I want to repaint the walls a pearly colour and have this same dark blue ombre down now. I know it will be a little oppressive, but .....it will set the mood.
I need to find/ make some great candle sconces too......I've seen some, so....
Its a great site for paper. Not too overwhelming a selection so you get dizzy, but some fun ideas, some to make you squawk with laughter, and some to make you squeak with joy, and sigh with ideas. The mirror paper I'm considering is somewhere on that site too.0 -
Candle scounces - there are some really lovely old piano ones.
You could make some really nice wall covering with bacofoil that's been distressed - tarnished.
Dark blue looks lovely with golden frames & polished brass. I'll have a nosey at the paper.
You can buy decals on ebay but they are either a bit samey or written stuff/phrases that's a bit cheesy & would grate after a fortnight - well t'would me.0 -

Does sweet william come back every year?
He'll come back every week, if you treat him right....
It's a biennial that often acts as a short lived perennial, especially if you don't let it set seed. So, take alfie's advice with some, trim back t'others, and you're covered.
I've tried the new wheeled brushcutter at last and it's very good for the areas that are totally out of control. I still have to 'play' with it a bit though, 'cos I've a feeling my favoured brand of strimmer line will make it even better and there are several positions for the line to try out.
Glad you told the plumber to go forth, choille. People like that don't deserve your hard-won cash.:mad:0 -
That's twice today I've seen the word "sconces."
Like buses, you wait ages.... Not that I was waiting!0 -

Is this it LIR? - you could do that with a roller & a tin of dark blue/royal blue emulsion, a tin of white emulsion & a brush to blend, just keep adding white after each run round with the roller. Or a sponge to blend the shades.
Great the brush cutter is cutting it Dave.I could do with something similar, but outdoors is out just now. It's out of control - most people I speak to have given up on their gardens this year.0 -

That's it. Some one could do it, certainly. Not me. Fir has forbidden me from trying when I suggested just that, but has said I could see if an artist fried of ours is up for trying, she's oop north and needs a trip down. I'd love alf and her to meet too.0
