Had a look at the Crocus sale, picked-up:

    Clematis 'Guernsey Cream'
    Rodgersia pinnata 'Chocolate Wing'
    Cirsium rivulare 'Atropurpureum' (brook thistle)
    Ligusticum scoticum (Scotch lovage)
    Dryopteris wallichiana

The last 4 all seem to do well at my local NT(S) garden. May have to thin out some of the more humdrum plants to make space, this year lady's mantle has been used to full in all the gaps.

I got the teeny tiny little aster type thing ( name I forget) they are discontinuing. I've wanted it for a while ( its been useful in parent's gardens) but is quite hard to find for some reason. Dark stems tiny little star type flowers. Not a scene stealer but useful.

Don't grumble, but I am hoping for rain on Saturday or Sunday. We need to wallpaper ( first time ever attempt!) before delivery of the wardrobe on Saturday. Its going to be a crazily beautiful walk in wardrobe. But only a slim Jim will be able to fit in. Alfie will have to move in to go fetch my clothes when fir isn't here, ;). ( he's taking the deep end of the cupboard)

We have made a walk in closet in the bedroom as I think it will be useful for all the stuff I have strewn everywhere & bagged up for years.

Sanded the dresser & got on a 1st coat. I'm pleased with the way it's looking.

Sky gone very dark & black with midgies out there. It looks like a monsoon waiting.

The last thing we need here is more rain  since I finished clearing and tidying the garden the rain hasn't stopped. I so want to sit and relax in the garden.

Been cleaning and tidying and creating for the last few days, all the kinds of things I usually do in winter and spring.
