We are off to Devon today until Wednesday. The weather looks ok, not hot, but dry hopefully which is fine for waking and stuff. I'm hoping the garden will be ok as my neighbour is also away at the same time as she would usually water for me. The garden should be ok as yesterday was a great downpour but I have toms and chilis in the greenhouse, the latter will cope but the former may not. But what can you do.
LIR I think your planting is really delightful but it would be great to see your back garden and I'm sure lots of people will offer ideas. I agree IHS has a magnificent touch with planting, as do so many people on here. I'm still very much in awe of Dave's planting when he puts pics up.

    Oh, indeed!

Yes, I will. I'll have to dig out architects plans too. Because they make more sense than photos in a way. :)

Watering the pot-plants took a while last night, then I counted and found I had 61 pots indoors...

Been a while since I showed progress on the front garden, which has taken a back-seat TBH. It faces NE so sees the early morning sun then is in shade all day and is wet clay. Seems the climbing hydrangea is happy although after the autumn storms I had to glue it back on the wall with blobs of bathroom sealant...

I'm aiming to make the two box into topiary cubes.

    Morning all,

    Grey, overcast and damp here..

    LIR that looks absolutely beautiful..

I know what I like, but I find it it hard to actually achieve the look that I want lol

I don't know what is wrong with me lately but my 'umf' is gone, and when I do try and do things, I am sooo out of breath within minutes. Just not fit anymore lol

Haven't long come back from the ranch, to check on everything here, will be going back up later, so hope it doesn't rain

    omg best compliment ever!

I still haven't decided what to close it off with at the end, Lending to wards coping out with two more trAined pears. Maybe both sensations, as I doubt one will do well on the north side. Though cherries also still appeal.:)

We had long breakfast with calls over FaceTime to international family members out there this morning, ( haha, blow time differences ;) ) and it felt just fantastic. :)

    hi all

woke up at 11 am !!

had 3 cross legged dogs by the patio doors this morning !! bless em .:)

I have to do 4 jobs today.... tip, pick up some printing from friend and sort spare bedroom out and bay the stuff , check horses and feed/water birds ....
then dollshouse stuff can go in there and sun room then empty for mum.. this may take today and tomorrow !

im changing part of my garden slowly , when flowers are out I will take a pic.
I have a large expanse of lawns surrounded on 2 sides by trees etc and then house side. 4th side is open view over fields so I have to make sure I don't plant "tall" to change view which makes things more difficult :o
also even tho I have a high hedge adjoining the lane [SW] the wind whistles over it and also over the cattle grid to the drive way so again cant have delicate plants that don't cope with wind burn...
the joys of being rural !

oh dear im on 2nd cuppa and still sat on my butt.... gotta shift !

dry here, suns out , have a good day
