Yes, she's lovely, as they all are, but you wouldn't really notice her, unless it was because of her short legs and funny gait. It's the personality which shines. :A A lesser hen would have curled-up and died by now.

That's a Vorwerk. Pretty hens with great inquisitiveness, but not much individuality.....except the one that crows! :rotfl:

Well, DW finally managed to track down Mr Rod yesterday and he's coming to see us today. :j She also got the electrician to promise he'd change the consumer unit next Tuesday, but actions will speak louder than words in that context!

We have the BCO visiting today, so if we can just get a second window in the new en-suite approved, I'll be happy. Then, if we alter the store room beyond it into a mini kitchen room later on, we can make a corridor without losing all natural light in the en-suite.

I hate bathrooms without windows. We have an-en suite in the other large bedroom like that, and when we get time, we have a window ready-made to put in there. I wouldn't bother, but that would become our bedroom if we ever made a self-contained unit with t'other one.

Meanwhile, DW has her eye on that store room. If/when we go back to selling plants 'properly,' it will be a great place to put all the paraphernalia for that, the computer, label printer etc. :D

Tinky is a very fine looking hen indeed :D
Thanks for the photo, I can picture her now when you give updates.

Mr BD has gone off to the builders yard - sounds a bit like yours Dave. He rang up for a price for some timber and their first question was 'what did you pay last time?' Elastic pricing and a chaotic car park. Mr BD said he hoped to be back by 10am. But its only in Walsham says I. Ah he replies, but you've never tried to get in and out of the car park :D Thought of you Dave :D
It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

BCO has been. Picked-up straight away on the issue I raised the other day, but the gist of the answer was, "Ye canna change the laws of physics, Captain!"

Hogwash. Our builder actually meant "La, la, la, I can't hear you!" but he's got away with it....BCO really is a very nice man! :)

He also approved the extra window. :D Thought he would, but you never know.....

Tomorrow I really must clean under my sink. It was on the list for today but got lost. I must not put it off any longer!

The jobs one puts off are never as bad when you get down to them are they? Smells nice, is organised again and all the bottles have been consolidated. A tidy and clean under sink cupboard really makes me feel a little better. I'll be doing the teal towel drawer before I know it

You towel-down teals in your spare time?

Oh.... no, that would be silly!

I get it... you have a special drawer for teal coloured towels. :D

Or maybe a drawer for any old towels, but with handles shaped like teal heads.

The possibilities are aslmost infinite....but I have to go and water my pants. :rotfl:
