Yes, Dave - I'd be getting in some prickly blackthorn as well. What a pain neighbours are.
LIR - great the veg garden is doing fine - wish I could say the same but it's a mad thatch of weeds at the moment.
But a lovely mixer tap up on Gumtree that is surplus & unused. Got someone interested & I went to get it & notice it's been dropped & the porcelain on the taps is cracked & chipped GGGGGGGggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr?'*7 Costs over £250 new. Had it on GT for £125. Don't think I'll get it sold now.0 -
hi all........
well, dad managed to sign his name on numerous documents and he was so proud he'd managed it
then said we'd go for a drive to romsey for tea and cake ... BUT took a wrong turn and ended up at hilliers... so we had a lovely walk round tho mum reckoned she resembled an old mountain goat on some paths :rotfl:
the azalias were just starting and it was lovely seeing every thing starting to sprout.
at work for rest of the week now.. and the rain is just starting so timed that right
hope everyone has had a good long weekend0 -
Good that your Dad is doing fine Alfie & you are a good daughter.
The azalias are out here so not as far behind as I thought- often we can be at least a month - I plant later too.
Just checking the sheeps & elderly neighbour out reattaching his YES flag which he reckons was sabotaged, but didn't mention thatit's lying down the girl's field as it was so gusty last night. I think I'll reattach it later so he wonders what is going on!0 -
Yep, but it always goes to quick.
Getting a bit fed up now with all this election stuff everytime I turn on the TV, listen to the radio, and being bombarded with it on Facebook too lol
Think we should have a fantasy government..
Who would you have????
At the moment I think I would vote for Mr bean lolWork to live= not live to work0 -
just seen on pick tv, Belfast zoo have a big pig [prob rare breed] and it looks the similar size to my mabel.........
it had gone off eating its pig nuts but would eat bananas etc... rings a bell !!0 -

I will add that not all the azalias were out... some still in bud so sounds like you are about the same...:)
the thing is with dad. he is bed bound and has to have constant care so anything we can do to involve him makes him feel "usefull" and still "head of things"
your elderly neighbour will think the fell fairies are at work..:rotfl:0 -
I think I'd go with Nicola Sturgeon as my fantasy leader as I think she's great, deputy could be the Welsh lass who also talks sense & the green woman for leader of the house. The wimmin are doing a lot better than the squabbly men - boring men.
Good you are involving your Dad - quite right, so many people are sidelined when they have been ill, or are elderly.0 -
evening! just sitting down after a non stop day, everyone's been fed except me! But I'm too hot and bothered to eat right now. Just been lugging hay and straw about, I had some help too:
This is the girl born on Valentine's day, as you can see she is full of beans, all the youngsters are!
Choille I'm not sure what breed the lamb is, mum is a black Shetland, dad is likely my white Shetland ram, the brown was maybe a throwback to his granny, who's brown with pretty dark markings..
He is adorable, I sneak a cuddle every time I see him, but ultimately for the freezer. At least I'll have a nice sheepskin rug to look forward to, and I take the Shetlands on to hogget so I've got over a year to enjoy him. the Shetland ram is for the freezer this autumn, he is truly evil, bit of a shame if he's throwing such lovely looking babies. I could examine the family tree and see if I can keep the new boy, if he's unrelated to enough ewes...
had to remember to sort out my newest ferret tonight, he goes to be neutered tomorrow so I took his food away at 6 and dug out a cat carrier ready. I've been having trouble integrating him with the others, he's a bit OTT and plays very rough, so I think neutering will help, it's the last thing left to try anyway. Plus he's a smelly creature, I can still smell stinky boy ferret on my jumper two hours later!
edited to say, couldn't agree more choille on the politicians, although the Green Party ladies (main leader and welsh leader) are not as eloquent in the debates as the other ladies, Thought I might be voting green this time til I saw them speak, but they don't fill me with confidence...
Right, I'm hungry now I've chilled out for a bit, got some left over cottage pie, yum!0 -
I used to borrow a white Shetland ram & he threw beautiful coloured lambs.
The coloured ones with black bellies. I have a rug or two in the shed, but I dash well hope the mice haven't been there. The ram was owned by a strange couple & they ended in a very tragic way. The ram was snaffled by someone who grabs everything when folks are vulnerable. But he was a crazy ram who nearly broke my leg - crazy crazy ram.
I did like Caroline Lucas but she is no longer leader. The local Green here is talking rubbish about common grazing land - she doesn't understand the concept of common land. I think they want it for the leisure - everything is for leisure - ridiculous. They'll make proper muck illegal so they will. It's too mucky don't you know.
Gorgeous sun set - off out to breath it in.0 -
has anybody just watched "the man on the bridge" on ch 4 !! powerfull stuff... blubbed like a baby !0
