Sorry CTC just missed your post.

You really need to get that checked out, will you ring NHS direct to make sure you can wait til Tuesday to see a doc? Please?

It may just be Passing symptoms brought on by the stress but they might be signs of something more...how's your blood pressure?

Looks like You and me both going on the anti anxiety tablets! I think we react the same way, On reflection I often get things out of proportion but it doesn't feel like it at the time. this a big deal though, and added to everything else going on.

Sounds like the sooner you sell that house the better, even if it means taking a hit, it's a big source of stress and one you could do without.

Edited to say, I'm assuming you still have a right to use your road and park on it, as you said it has always been so...having never been close up I can't picture it, but what's the problem with your son leaving his car on the road?

Fk, they can't stop us have 'access rights' and this should cover car/vehicle access, BUT.. There is nothing stopping them doing something, that we can only dispute in court which will cost silly money, they are that type of people. As in reality they should have had a court order to remove our chicken shed, no worning, they just took them down. In this letter they mentioned they have liabi?ity for injuries caused by the car, and they will have it removed with no more notice.. ( makes me think they are going to say an injury took place lie)

I feel like sticking a hand painted for sale sign outside the house..lol, but then another part if me wants to just lower the tone even more by putting old sofas etc in our garden lol if I was younger I would have been a right git. With them and make life hell for them, and nor let them get one over on me, but in reality I just can't do it anymore, when we sell, or just walk away, I will feel like they ate laughing at then getting their own way.. But that turn really frightened me yesterday... And I don't think my body can take on the fight

I was glad I didn't take any big pigs to sell, apart from 2 kunes the boars didn't sell, and all the boats were owned by one person, so she had a face like thunder... Sows were lucky to bring £30 with the exception of 2 GOS that went for around £50... Runty looking porkers done well even the boars were reaching £70 - £90 and the piglets were flying.. The pathetic looking piglets you could pick up for a £ last year were selling for £20 plus..and the average was £35 -£40 with some exceptions going for £50

Phoebe your garden is beautiful. It reminds me of mine in parts, and yours is on a much grander scale. When we first moved in it was so overgrown and uncared for. There were old pots dumped everywhere and rubbish. It's 5 years on and still a work in progress with renovating certain shrubs etc and deciding what to take out etc. I look forward to seeing your progress.

CTC sounds an awful position to be in. Anxiety attacks can have very physical symptoms but well worth getting checked out, is there a walk in centre you could go to? If I were you I would be looking at selling asap, it sounds like they're just going to try and make everyone's life a misery. It's not worth it. Don't see it as them winning, you're the winner with the gorgeous ranch. Walk away and laugh at their pathetic attempts to effect your life.

CTC - as you know you need to get checked out.

Can you contact the roads department re the access issues. These people sound like bullies & just now would be a good time to involve a councillor/MP as they are wanting to please their constituents. Can you get hubby to deal with it.

FK - Yes we are lambing but not yet- we've had quite bad spell of weather - lambing snow. I am only lambing the pre bred Hebredians as I have far too many & do need to get a sort out. I have a few riggs from last year that I should send to market but I will get hardly anything for them. It's been hectic time with the house, but the lambing will be easier this year just due to the fact that not all the ewes are in lamb.

Hubby is restraining himself to confront them, as he wouldn't be able to keep control, we have had no verbal contact with them... Since they threatened us on the phone the few days before they and their heavies pulled our chicken sheds down... Tbh our local councillor musypt own a fencing company, as it bloody sits on it aot. The council and local councillors were crap when it came to asda and they have the same attitude now...as the road is ' private' the council and highways can't do anything to a point. Even if loads of traffic starts coming passed our houses its his land, and he will make some sort of !!!!!!!!e excuse up.

I will try an photo/ copy the letter the attitude sinks...

So will reply to it in a civil and constructive manor lol

Thanks for all your lovely comments on the garden (and house) guys and girls - it's really encouraging :D

Wet and windy here today, so no chance of mowing the lawns or any more planting really, which means more wallpaper stripping inside - not my favourite task ;) So far we've only attacked the woodchip on the walls, but in three downstairs rooms it has been applied between ceiling beams too , which I've been avoiding tackling. I'm now investigating alternative options, such as applying a layer of 3mm insulating lining paper between the beams. Think I might bite the bullet and try this in the smallest area....

CTC, I agree, you should really get that checked out for your family's sake if nothing else. If it were me, for my sanity/health I'd just want to sell the blooming place asap - it's not as though you've nowhere else to go now work on the ranch is getting there. Hope you're feeling better soon x

You could write to your MP & copy it to head of party.

If it's a private road then access onto the main road will come under the roads department. If the traffic is onerous then the road department will get involved.

Do you have access rights for vehicle access? It can be that you don't?

Is it that they could be just flexing their muscles as they want to establish their boundaries which in a way is their right to do so?

Cold here but dry - no sign of plumber who promised he'd be here. Why have most of our trades got 'issues'?

CTC loads of good tips from everyone :A hope it helps you see a way through.

I wondered if citizens advice might be able to help or at least point you in the right direction, do as much as you can for free before it starts getting legal. Have you got any legal cover in home insurance? If so they can maybe advise on your situation....

Have you phoned yet? Don't make me come down there! ;)

Well the royal news came quickly, but still plenty to speculate about, I might have seen enough already

Know what you mean choille, I've got some of last year's lambs who need separating and fattening before I get them in the freezer later in the year. God I love lamb, well it'll be hogget by then :o

frustrating about the trades, there is absolutely nothing worse than half started jobs everywhere, when people say they'll do something or be somewhere then don't. If they can't do it they shouldn't say they will and they shouldn't start something else til you're finished  Unless it's me, I'm allowed to start ten things and finish none :D

Bloomin freezing here, not a lot of rain but I'm staying in, give it an hour and I might even light the fire. Mmmm think I'm Going to have boiled duck eggs and soldiers for lunch since the ducks are obliging again, there aren't enough to put out to sell so they're my treat :T

Fk, don't even think i have the energy to look into it, yes I know we are called the gypos. At the end of the road... But I have broad shoulders ( up until now) and not doing a stroke of work to this place means every penny has been saved/ spent at / for the ranch..

Its is time to be firm with myself and the family and get the foook out if here...
As both our boys were there and witnessed what happened yesterday it frieghtened them too, so maybe now they will start helping and listening.

I think big pots of b&q valspar paint will be good to just freshen up everywhere, and any damp patches of the ceiling will be just covered up lol...

The thing is now, I bet they will not allow skips etc now in front of the houses etc..

Re- access.. If they refuse car parking/access etc then it would be a personal matter between us and them, which would mean a legal battle..which will cost us/4 houses .. I think they legally got to give us access, but unless I see their deeds I don't know if it is vehicle access
