CTC deeds will be with the mortgage provider as they technically own the property.
It's likely copies of the title docs and title plan will be on Land Registry web site @ £3 each. There might be additional docs too though relating to easements, though all ours are on the title document.
Private roads etc can be a nightmare, though.
We have to pay 10% of the cost of any work done on the lane here, but we still get grief if we ever park on it! One or two even questioned our right to use it at all when we arrived, which shows the level of intelligence we sometimes encounter. :rotfl:
One problem is that certain other parties have a map they think is real, which shows one or two boundaries differently from those that we accept. It certainly looks reasonably convincing. Luckily, the plan one we work from has a Land Registry date stamp and signature!0 -
so in theory they could charge us for any work, or a fee a use it??
when arsda was built it was a council thing that they had to make up our road from a rough track to a proper made up road..Work to live= not live to work0 -
I doubt they can charge you a toll, but it is worth checking your legal right of access. AND whether it's for vehicular access or not. Many are not.0

No, not unless there is a clause in your title docs to say so.
There is in ours, but we've not been charged anything yet. Horse Woman & I deal with any potholes in the bit we use, as we reckon a stitch in time saves £££. Instant tarmac is cheap.
We also cut the hedges alongside at a cost of £50 a year. Nothing to say we should do that, but obviously, if we didn't, we'd not be very popular. It's an ancient, relatively rare, elm hedge, so worth preserving.0 -
hi all......
CTC... for what its worth, having just spent 2 hours at mums filling out numerous documents for the solicitors to act re the sale/purchase etc, there was one section re the SELLING of her house that she had to declare
a] no known disputes or problems with adjoining land/residents.
b] there was no disputes over land/rights of access
and loads more questions..
my point being that if the council have knowledge of your disputes and arsda have sold to mr t*at then with a land search your complaints/enquiries should have surfaced.. if not then they have LIED ....cos both sides have to answer this..
of course also in reverse if you make an official complaint/dispute this has to be declared when YOU sell...
by putting it into auction this will have to be declared if nescesary [if complaint is official]
is it worth you speaking to your morgage people, explaining to them that these guys are driving you out [plus health issues] and you may make a loss.... they may have free legal advice...
and what we talked about may be the way to go....
either way you need to get checked out.. I had a similar experience when all the agro with my last house kicked off. spent the day in hospital on a heart moniter... my blood pressure/H beat was so erratic they wouldn't let me out till it settled. it was the equivilant of a panic attack... the peace and quiet of this house cured me ! hopefully your lads will knuckle down and see your not invincible [my son did !!]....0 -
Well I got my own royal baby after all..I noticed the heavily pregnant mum going into labour around 6 (In the evening) so I escorted her to the maternity room (aka stable) - we didn't need a Range Rover or close protection detail though.
By 7 junior was born, it's a boy, dad was not present for the birth. Junior was up and feeding by half past, and mum was all recovered in time for bed!
I will try to get some decent pics tomorrow in daylight, he's a handsome little prince, but won't be giving the name away just yet!0 -
That's lovely FK.
I bet he's beautiful. I'm getting broody for lambs, but I'm glad that they are not due just yet as it's so freezing cold.
Cross-eyed listing so will just get a bit of telly before crashing as I feel jiggered.0 -
morning all,
typical we are going to pick up the huge load of plant pots today, and its piddling it down.. I cant change it again, as we wanted to go on Friday, today would have been a good day to sand down the bathroom floor, and then start painting all the tong and grove wood work etc..
been looking on b&q's website to see what paper I can get.. it will not take many rolls, as its a small bathroom, and I will get 2 of those Valspar tester pots which are quite big, as they are only a £1 each at mo..
the wood has already had a base coat to cover up the old paint..
any suggestions on paper, and colour??
going to get a new corner bath panel, as the one on there is 20 plus years old, and has gone very yellow
I know who ever buys it will prob rip everything out, but it will give a better impression
EDIT.... ok just found this paper, which on the similar sort of wave that we had on the wall before, what colour would you paint the wood, last time we had a 'dusky washed out looking pink'
I know, I know its not really anything to do with smallholding/ gardening etc.. but my head is in a tizz, and I don't trust my own decisions/judgement at mo lol

It looks nice with the grey/mauve colour they show in the other puc CTC and very on trend. If not what about a nice fresh green? It would look clean for a bathroom and I'm now imagining a vase or jam jar with old roses in and the window open when buyers look round. I get carried away! Have you checked out the shabby chic thread on old style for revamping old bits too eg bathroom cabinets?
I'm hoping it's going to brighten up a bit, it's cettainly trying. I bought a few plants yesterday so want to get them in and I've also bought my hanging basket plants so will get them planted and they can grow on in the greenhouse for a month or so. I'm off to malvern next week, for my first ever visit, and I'm very very excited. I am only looking for a few plants but be good to see the gardens and get advice (hopefully).
I've just cleaned my fridge and now have 4 bags of half jars and tubs of condiments to throw out. Am I the only one who seems to gather old bits in the fridge? Not very mse is it0
