Thanks for the birthday wishes my friends!

Tbc, its been and gone, I didn't notice it and have increasing chosen to be non celebrant for birthdays. :). So Alfie, there was not much to keep quiet. Good wishes and kind thoughts are always lovely to receive though :)

IHS, I wouldn't have anything as new as that, as I'm not kind to cars. Indeed, the East European car washers look away when I park-up in the supermarket. :o Forced to choose, I'd go for a Skoda Yeti or another big van. :D

Higher Eggbeer is out on its own on a no through road, so I've never been there, RAS, but I'm keeping a look out for monkey puzzles. I suppose Google Street View is cheating? :)

Hope Old Dog has a peaceful few days Better Days. This time last year we were soon to say goodbye to our old cat Poppy, and we vowed not to get another for a while....which lasted all of a few weeks! :o

Not much to report, except we almost demolished the remaining walls which must go....but ran out of time. Now, with the builder away, I will have to do the rest myself. We still have a doorway to cut, but after that, and maybe a new ceiling or two, we will be past the really dusty stuff. :j

    morning all,

apart from our transit van, which was a year old that we bought from a main ford dealer, and one of hubby's bikes that was only 2 years old ( such a bargain price we couldn't leave it there) all our cars/vans etc have been quite a few years old, and are used as an extension to our house, and just carry crap around lol.. apart from the ranger rovers, and the discovery, all our other car etc we just drive them into the ground so to speak.. so we don't buy expensive cars.. so we well and truly get our moneys worth out of them..

I still have my ford maverick... which has been a right cart horse, but don't know how long it will last, so I am slowly looking around for another van, just seeing whats out there and the prices etc..

BD... this must be a real heart renching time for you.. when our 'Rocky' went.. it all happened within a few hours.. which in one way, even though it was a right blow for us, was the best way for us, and for him... bloody miss that dog....

piddling it down here... having a nice cuppa, and then will toddle off to the auction and see if there is anything there we want to bring home... if not, we don't mind as there have the best canteen/caf! with 'proper' food, love their dinners piled high on the plate, so scimping lol

Lol go for eggs come home with sheep..

I forgot to say 2 of our home bred piggies went on Tuesday
And came back today as sausages and burgers, will get the rest back on the 28th as bacon, gammon and gammon steaks..

There is absolutely no money in trying to produce and sell your own meat at no, as the by the time you have everything processed, if you sell everything you would just get the processing money back.

But on saying that from our point of view, it is the best option, as by the time you do your kitchen to catering grade, and make sure no indoor pets, cats etc go into the kitchen would be a nightmare in our house, so I should imagine it would have to be a separate area completely to your own personal
Kitchen for it to be a commercial venture...

So glad it only for us and friends lol....

Went to pig auction too, not many pigs there, auction starts at 11am and it was all over by 11.35am.... Think he was on job and finish due to the bank holiday lol

    Right cuppa time

BD - Best wishes - It's such a hard time.

Alfie - Jacob sheep are so pretty. You'll be knitting you're own tank tops next!

My sheep are bedraggled. One guy had 7 lambs drowned overnight - horridly wet. I'm glad mine are later on lambing & only the pure bred Hebredians went to the ram this year & one of the girls doesn't appear to be preggers - so that should be an easier lambing.

How's Old Dog today BD? Sending hugs to you all xxx

    Alfie I adore Jacob Sheep......lucky you :)

Drizzly and cold here all day, really miserable.....had been expecting some new garden furniture to be delivered in time for Easter weekend and was a bit peed off that it didn't arrive - not so bothered now though :p

Spent part of day getting new kitchen units into position - just need to find a reliable plumber and sparky, although DH is threatening to DIY the former ;)

Don't eat *too* many Easter eggs and HC buns, all :D
