Rummer you sound very organised & have put in loads of work outdoors = good for you - don't know how you've managed with all the wet weather & the wee one.
Quite a good day here today. No plumbers, plasterers due until Thursday so I enjoyed a lie in & I am going to potter a bit & do some listing as it's FLW until Tuesday.
Got a delivery coming on Thursday so I must make some space in the house for a bath, shower, sink unit, loo etc. That's daunting as I have filled the house with cheap buys that are really in the way & everything is getting a bit out of control...................Where's Kim & Aggie when ya need em?0 -
Gosh Rummer, you really have been busy
Sounds as though your garden is coming along wonderfully......I'm jealous of your greenhouse as it's something we don't have here (yet!)
We've done nothing about sorting veg beds at the new house as I can't decide where is the most obvious place for them. DH is keen to retain the garden as it was - *preserved in aspic* as I call it - and less interested in growing productive stuff than me. I understand where he's coming from, but it's not as though we don't have the space - it just means re jigging things a little, which wouldn't hurt, but he thinks the layout is perfect already
Dull day here today, with showers forecast. Am expecting a few parcels (light fittings etc) so I need to stay within range of the doorbell whilst DH is out sourcing stock, which is a PITA but I have plenty to do inside I guess.....walls to paint, (more) woodchip to strip, curtains to make etc etc.
At least - if it stays dry - I can get outside when DH gets back as he wants to take advantage of seven days free listing on fleabayMortgage-free for fourteen years!

Oh dear
Mr BD has the lurgi. He has retired to his bed, rarer than a solar eclipse - usually he just lies on the sofa angling for sympathy. There's even talk of not going to work tomorrow
I'm trying to keep my distance, I want to be awap for our trip to Wales on Friday.
I've even had my hair cut!
Dull here too phoebe, was lovely and sunny first thing, but it didn't last.It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

Hi all... amazing what a bit of sunshine and later light does.... I've mowed the lawns and strimmed edges. Ivfound a hedge trimmer but gotta mend the lead. Working next 3 days , airport run ( I've done a deal. For free trips I'm getting a super duper tv... cost the guy £2000 4 years ago. He's getting a new one !! ) got computer man coming Friday to try and rescue what's on my 2 ancient laptops, mainly precious photos... haave to buy a new one tho... :-(0

DH gave the lawns their second cut today. I went round with the strimmer then tidied the edges with the half moon edger. It's amazing how tidy it made the garden look. Just a pity the grass grows!
Very disappointed today. I was given a lovely planter for my retirement almost 4 years ago. I plant up new bulbs in it every autumn. This year's display was supposed to be tulips. Loads of leaves but no flowers. Every 'blooming' one has come up blind.0 -
Stan and goosegoggins are "having words" well actually they are knocking 7 bells out of each other ... have to seperate them... one gets the good garden,t'other the bottom lawn.. they will see each other still as I'm hoping once the tesstosterone levels drop they mght like each other again...:o. If I thought some girlies would help id get some but how many and would they divide and rule peac'e'fully. Iv a. Fe'eling th'ey won't.
sons off to hawaii early tomorow morning.... I am not envious.
ok, I am
. I'm hoping weather is good for everyone this week. I am quite lucky here, sheltered by IOW helps.

Alfie you've been very busy. Lucky son eh? Wish I was going.
Cold wind here & it snowed tonight. Feels very chilly even with the stove on.
I've been listing stuff but it's very quiet on the bay atm - hope it picks up as the stuff that needs bought is daunting & could do with paying the plasterer for a few weeks yet & also another guy who is a good joiner !!! roofer.
My unusual coloured hyacinths are doing well & the rhubarb is racing upwards. Daffies are coming out & chaffinches are pairing up - it's officially Spring but it's a chilly one.0 -
Had to have a small snooze tonight after a long session in H*wd*ns, followed by a trip up and down the M5.:o
DW is back visiting DD1 and GS, so I have the joy of another week here on my ownsome, with the builder & electricians for company..... :undecided Still, the kitchen design is swinging more my way now.
Builder has had a few problems lately, and I returned tonight to a note saying he'd had an awful day (despite having a whole new packet of choc digestives.) Although it's not my fault, I feel guilty!
The garden gate sales continue to amaze me....£15 already this week for very run of mill plants.
Hmmm.. a super duper TV, alfie. No, I don't get anything like that!Today, I put all the acro props in the van and took them back so someone else could have the joy of storing them, but somehow I've returned with an oak wardrobe I don't really want and a radiator!
Like choille's house, our barn is rapidly filling up with stuff we don't need, so a big e Bay week in the summer will be called-for. :cool:0
