council haven't had ANY planning application put in yet..

so maybe they are tarting it up first, before putting applicaqtion in..or they know a loophole???

    who knows...
do you know what the premises was used for before ? keep an eye out for anything that looks like a road/hardstanding/new access going down... some discreetly change an access point so they avoid detection. usually by driving trucks repeatedly through one point then claiming it was always there...

Chilly but sunny here. Just given the chickens a hot cross bun which was greeted with clucks of pleasure.

Last night of your panto tonight Dave? Break a leg as they say - does that apply to panto or mention of the Scottish play? :D:D:D Mr BD has the tech rehearsal tomorrow, then dress rehearsal, then 'lift off' on Wednesday.

Lead the Good Life has the 10 bare-root shrubs for £10 again and I have so far valiantly resisted having not yet planted up all the ones I bought this time last year:o:o

Mr BD has had a good couple of days. He has been delivering on his current round for 5 years and decided he fancied a change. Today was his last day on the old round. He has been given £150 from one of the residents associations/customers, lovely bunch of flowers, bottles of beer and even some choccies for me (very sweet)

He does stop to chat when he has time and the older customers really appreciate it as some are rather lonely. The new round is more rural, so will be a little different.

I've got a meeting on Tuesday with the NHS service user group I am on. Lots of reading to do to prepare and comment on a lengthy 'transition document'. Got the worst done now (was losing the will to live with it yesterday) so going to treat myself with a couple of episodes of TWD which I have been saving.

Have been revisiting Lost - remember that anyone? Good escapism.

Oh and I now have a virtual smallholding - a game that I have downloaded to my ipad. It's very addictive :o:o:o
It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

I think "Break a leg" applies to all types of thespian endeavour.

Not maybe the best thing to say to me in my current role, where I have to leap and kick out like Bruce Lee at one point! Then, at the end, I whizz towards someone for a big kiss, but the object of my affections takes one step sideways, so I miss....leaving me with about 3' braking distance to the stage edge. Last night, the front of my shoes went over the edge..... :D

If your virtual smallholding is as addictive as Theme Hospital, weaning yourself off it could take some time.
I used to do them all when the kids were younger, then I discovered MSE and found a better way to waste time!:rotfl:
  • we bought a hudl for work, well for my ebaying as it is so quick to use this to list... used to use my youngest, tablet, but someone dropped it in work, and cracked the screen, so had to buy him a new one too. been an expensive week, so fingers crossed a weekend of listing stuff will pay for it.

I downloaded plants v's zombies.. and yep addicted..
Work to live= not live to work

Gosh, please be careful then Dave, especially if you've been at the *sauce*.....we once sold a house to an elderly lady whose professional ballet dancer son was tragically killed when he missed the edge of the stage he was pirouetting (or whatever the term is) across and landed in the orchestra pit :(

Antique fair this morning was a waste of time - 300 stands but nothing that we were even vaguely interested in purchasing.....didn't even bother going to the other one, although might give it a try tomorrow if the weather is too bad for the garden visit we had planned ;)

There has been some snow here throughout the day - only light flurries though, interspersed with bright sunshine......can't wait for Spring :)

Plumber back today so that was great & he's coming fri & sat next week so that will move us on.

Snow, hail & sleet today & quite bitter out until a wee while ago & got some limbs hauled up from the burn that have snapped - so a good day really.

its nice isnt it ? another good idea is old wooden step ladder. [the V sort.] they are also good if you have 2 to put planks across between. looks great as book shelves or in a kitchen for pots and pans.;)
