BD and FK - sorry to hear about your dear dogs....{{{hugs}}}....I so dread the day when our pets start to get frail. Our old kitty is fifteen this year, the eldest cat I've ever had. He's still in good health, but am well aware he can't go on for ever
He will likely go on for a while yetWe had a 21 year old kitty at one stage.

Thanks phoebe! My old Fergus is almost 12, he was the first dog I had of my own, well mine and hubby's. It's kind of sad when he does show his age, he's a bit slower to get on the sofa than he used to be but he manages!
And he still really enjoys being out on the farm with me, putting his paws up on the gates and barking at the animals or staring at the cat! He's never been a runner, he tends to watch from afar more than join in the chase games the young ones love, so I haven't got to worry about him overdoing the exercise. And I don't keep him out long in the cold or rain, but then I don't stay out long in bad weather either!
Looks like the return of rain tomorrow night, and strong winds too, so I must go and check everything's put away tomorrow, I've been spoiled by this quiet dry spellr. Better do a bonfire too before all the stuff gets wet again!0 -

If you copy the url of the curtain fabric on your photo hosting site then search.Or download the extension mentioned for either firefox or chrome and then use the extension - never done it myself but surely it can't be that hard
Off to bed now, but you can pm me a photo of the fabric tomorrow and I'll have a go if you don't have any luck this evening.0 -

Thanks phoebe, hope your kitty continues to be well.
I think one of the reasons I was so upset is that it really bought home to me how old she is and it is likely she wont be with us for a great deal longer.:(:(:(
We cant risk her going up/down the stairs so been sleeping downstairs with her. Neither of us had a very good night's sleep last night. Ear plugs and a gas mask are recommended due to fuffling around, ominous tummy rumbling, internal to external air movement and snoring. And that was just the dog :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
If you PM or post up a pic of your fabric alfie, between us all I'm sure we will be able to identify it for you.
How did the panto rehearsal go Dave? Mr BD's Panto starts on 25th Feb so the week after yours. Hold on to your hats for 2 weeks of quality knicker dropping:D:D
Wolf Hall good maggie? Think I'll delve into iplayer and give it a try. It is getting lots of good reviews. TWD has started again, trying to wait until next week so I can watch two episodes together and keep some of the series momentum going.
Have a good day all........It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

.
It was long!:(
The whole thing's too long, but there's no one willing to be the horrible person who says., "This scene isn't very funny, so let's keep the good bits and dump the dross."
The only good thing this year is that the younger members of the cast are shining through better than us old hacks. :A
I finally had my dinner at 10.35pm. :mad:0 -

Imho that's definitely not an authentic Morris design Alfie
Having scoured my reference books this morning, there are some patterns that are similar - Bullerswood, Snakeshead, African Marigold, Rose.....but the closest match appears to be *Lodden* a printed cotton from 1884 which has similar colourway and format of design. Not sure if this has ever been available as a wallpaper.....
However, again in my humble ones it would possibly look too much to have a *similar*, but not *identical* pattern on even one feature wall - when the designs are almost, but not quite matching iyswim
That's coming from someone who has loads of pattern and colour everywhere, but just not sure if this would work - maybe if the scales of pattern were different to each other it would be ok?
The others (and your good self, of course) might disagree.....
I guess it depends on how much saturated colour and pattern a girl can take in her living room
Edited to add - having done a quick online search, I can't find Lodden available as a wallpaper.....you could always go authentic and have fabric on your wall!Mortgage-free for fourteen years!

alfie tried the google image search and it didn't find anything for you (my faith in the all powerful google has been dashed
)
It came up with a load of similar fabrics - may be worth a look through to see if you can spot it, and even if you can't worth a browse as there are some lovely fabrics

Just back from a charity antiques valuation with Antiques Roadtrip expert Charles Hanson who a friend of DH's works with occasionally - Charles is a lovely guy irl, very genuine, friendly and full of fun just the way he comes across on TV:D Unfortunately I don't feel like getting down and dirty in the garden now.....seems a bit late to start, although that might be the result of my liquid lunch :rotfl:
If you specifically want William Morris, Alfie *Granada* is a similar colourway, looking at BD's linky, and I think that might still be a current design.....not sure about wallpaper though
Many of the wallpapers and fabrics I see when I'm searching in that genre online tend to be from US websites.....why do they always have more choice than us.....grrrrrrr?!?!Mortgage-free for fourteen years!
