    morning all,
feeling really frustrated.. huge blow-out with youngest yesterday, about sorting out his room, in the end I threw a guitar down the stair, and he said he didn't give a shhhiiittte, no wonder it was hubby's.. kept on telling me he was 19, and can do want he wants..

He could be 45, but if you're still subsidising his accommodation, he ought to listen to his landlady!:naughty:

OTOH, you are changing the things that have represented safety and stability all his life and, frankly, he's probably scared stiff! He won't admit that, of course; he's a bloke, so he'll just act-up. ;)

It seemed like a good idea at the time but could it get so big and heavy one day that it catches the wind and pulls the trellis over

I have seen Kiftsgate take down a 100 year old apple tree, never mind a trellis!
  • HE is just a little 'diva git' at the moment, he was full fuss last week with helping, but that was up the ranch with all his mates, doing 'man' things around the place, like knocking down this lol..

The thing is, me and youngest as SOOOOO much alike.. we are best buddies one minute, and talk about anything to each other, and then we are at each other's throats..

waiting for hubby to bring a box of black bags from work.. and some empty cardboard boxes to start getting stuff ready for various auctions etc...think we will be able to do a Fairfach auction all by ourselves lol..

FK... I am not to keen on Deep litter bedding, I went to a place, that done this, and it was awful, I know they say it generates heat, but it wasn't right..
Work to live= not live to work
  • Coming out for air, OMG I am sure something has curled up and died in his room, no wonder he didn't want to sort it... found a fiver though..lol

LiR, thank you so much for reminding me about David Austin Roses. Have just ordered 2 Etoile de Hollande, Climbing - Bare Root Roses to go on the archway OH built last summer. Here's pic to remind you.

DD2 brought the GrandTwins over yesterday, and we spent some time in the back garden. OH lit a bonfire in the incinerator, but it was a bit scary as the twins know no fear! I chopped some dead stuff down (should have been done months ago) and started weeding the strawberry plants that I'd forgotten were there! :o Only managed to clear around 1 plant (think we have 5 that survived), but so far have found 2 good looking suckers, one well rooted, the other I'll try root in a pot to take to lottie. We are both knackered today, so having a quiet day.
  • :rotfl:Dave I will be keeping a tight reign on it! I'm more concerned that anything on the trellis will act like a sail, than weigh it down, given the weather we've had in recent winters, so a plant with no leaves then is probably better. but it does need some covering, even with the smaller diamonds I still think it's too see-through!

Here endeth the afternoon tea break!

Had a pleasant sojourn in Ireland. Been asked if I can 'do' a week in March when child minder on holiday. Flights booked!

Still not gardening weather here as the ground is really heavy and wet. Did hear lawn mowing noises when out early this afternoon. I know we have cut our grass late January in previous years but it is certainly too wet just now. Fortunately our grass is not desperate for a cut yet.

Not liking the sound of the weather forecast for later this week!
  • I have heard there might be some snow for us, will see lol

FK, I was thinking the house next to you, is so high up they will be able to see your land/animals etc whatever you put up??

had to go out earlier, and the shop I went to ( the range) had a load of berberis reduced down to 62p, I was soooo tempted... lol.. might need to back there tomorrow, and see if they will knock anymore off if I take the lot ( well its always worth a go lol)
