    Well done alfie

No way I could have got anything to light last night - wind, rain and sleet.

Going to have a ceremonial burn on Sunday (Saturday looks like sleet, snow, sleet and wind).

    Happy choille day, all.

When the sun is out I keep thinking of spring.......

    I've been Money Tipped!
Pleased for your good news azzabazza what a worry.

Alexelisey we're not getting much in the way of eggs atm either, and one of the chucks is moulting so she wont be laying. Getting one egg every couple of days. Roll on spring.

Gusty rainy weather blew through yesterday but soon gone. Now dull, damp and chilly.

    CH was 'fixed' yesterday afternoon.

An hour after heating engineer left it became 'unfixed' again with the same problem.:mad::mad:

He is going to try and get here early evening, but I wont hold my breath. House is getting very cold as heating not been working properly since Monday and not at all since Tuesday. Getting very tired.
It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

Lambs Alfie? That's not something we'll see here before April/May.

Blowy here & heavy snow showers. Really wild night. Half shut knife feeling with all the wrecked sleep for ages now. Must brace myself & actually do something.

After a nice(ish) day, 6cm of snow exactly at going home time for the office workers so I expect the motorways around Glasgow will be slow-going.

Bay trees wrapped in fleece, this cold snap will likely halt the bulbs.

CHOILLE.... the sheep/lambs arent real :p my warped sense of humour im afraid .. they are life size but made from fired clay. [cost more than the real thing ! ] they are at a friends where the horses are..

As I was riding north after Christmas I saw (real) lambs. I think just north of Bristol Parkway? They were a good 2 or 3 weeks old and quite bouncy.

Struck me as very early; I know someone who lambs a few about that time but not earlier.

I am used to seeing the poor little blighters being born on a hillside in early May, in a snowstorm.

:rotfl::rotfl: i lit the "bonnie" yesterday lunchtime with a load of boxes i had, at the field edge.... much to the annoyance of the gardeners who apparently were going to burn more next week :o

They look real Alfie - be a lot less work I bet.

I had to bring a lamb in as it looks a bit weak & wane. It's al snuggled in the shed with a load of hay & looks remarkably content compared to the way it was at lunch time. Heavy blizzards here & wind that would cut the face off you.

One of our posties who lives a few miles away has three very large trees on top of his roof according to OH who went passed there today.
