Well, nice to get out this morning. The snowdrops are on sort of a normal schedule for here. My earliest clumps out for a while, my latest not yet? Walking around i was nodding at the interesting but no longer shocking seasonal hiccups. Then popped over to give yet another weed to my hop planters ( there are so
Me early violas etc in there. Thought woud see them, and indeed, doing brilliantly, self seeded prolifically and the bluebells in there till where I want them is ready are pushing up. But the bright January marigolds have given pause for thought.0 -
Ahh awesome are you in Carmarthen? We were living in Swansea before but gorseinon. I have been looking for the right place for around 2 years. Feeling very overwhelmed today but got some nice photos of the place and got a few interested in daycare and one full time dog booked in
Also how to I dlete my old signature I cant find the option. Thanks in advance0 -
Just noticed the first camellia flower is out in back garden! :j Might bring some branches in to try and force them when OH is next going to visit MiL in nursing home. He's not been since just before we went to London for Christmas, as still is feeling cruddy with aftermath of chest infection. We think he's probably not infectious now though, so hopefully he'll manage a visit later this week. We'll see.0

Dreadful day here, but only damage is ridge & edge off the shed - that I've noticed so far.
Mud bath about- so wet & slidey.
Roast pork for tea with parsnips, carrots, cauli & roast tatties - mmmmmmmmmmmmm
Alfie I too want a gut big dog but will wait & see what comes up.
Supposed to be getting Stew back tomorra to plaster another wall in the kitchen, so that would be good.0 -
Having had great big dogs my entire life, yesterday going to the vet with dog dog or when I take kiwi in its always a relief to know normal drugs won't cost twice the months groceries. And the food bills......though dog dog eats a lot.0

I think the costs are what has made folks give up their animals which is terrible. You just make other cuts where you can.
We are thrifty, but I know that that isn't possible to cut when cuts are down to the bone.0 -

I'd NEVER give up my animals or make them suffer. But I do think that taking on a big dog now is proportionately more expensive than it was when I was a kid.. We used to have a Lot of them, fir and I, with for in a proportionately better paid job, would be pushed to with that breed.
As they are ALL wonderful people it seems prudent to think about taking on the cost difference IMO between so etching that weighs say, twenty kilos, forty kilos, or sixty kilos. Kiwi only weighs ten. Its almost 'laughable' to what we are used to for drug costs.0
