RAS bit scary with the break in next door.
I am not pressing charges just want it nipped in the bud & a record of it in case owt else happens. The officer who came to see us went round to hers & said we would be getting no bother from her again as he'd have a right talk with her, so that would be best all round as she needs help & brake put on her behaviour, but still all a bit unreal feeling.
OH had two medical things on today & car broke down so we are just in the door & in a snow storm & borrowed car. But we broke down round the corner from Friends business so they took us home & fed us & entertained us & really restored our faith in the goodness of folks.
Really cold & pretty nasty weather wise.0 -

It does shake you up, even if there's no physical injury. I had a similar experience, though not with Mr Dog. You go over it again and again, but it still makes no sense.0 -
It did fairly shake me up & I think you are dead right - you try & make sense of their mad behaviour, but it's just that -irrational.0

yep -we humans tend to "try and make sense of things" and trying to make sense of completely irrational behaviour can be crazy-making.
She probably will not realise she needs help but at least a marker is down that may well enable her to get the support required in the future. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
hi all... hope the weather is being kind to you all...
i went to lunch with the maddest 86 yr old in the land today !! we go somewhere every xmas and he is bonkers. he talks terribly terribly posh but swears like a trouper which in itself is hysterically funny but can be somewhat embarrasing... after he devoured a bottle of red i was ready to hide !:rotfl: but he entertained the pub no end
food was good
....... apart from that ive done very little except ive joined the ranks of the online food shopping brigade.
the thought of queing leaves me cold so i now just have to remember to be here tuesday evening

Glad that you've been thoroughly entertained today by your toy boy, alfie!
You jolly well deserve a good treat. :A
And it's encouraging, the number of octo and nonagenarians still behaving delightfully badly, or at least having a damn good time, instead of 'acting their age.'
I'm all for it.
Most of us like to think we'll be like that too. However, a card I received today from an ex-girlfriend told a somewhat different tale.Won't go into any more detail, as I'm not into being depressing, like Ron our ex-plasterer, but t'was very sad.
So instead, I'll just say I'm incredibly lucky, not only for my good health, but because Mr Builder has closed up the hole in our house before going off for his well-earned Christmas break.0 -
Shopping on-line I can understand, even if I don't know what day of the week it is.
For some unknown reason, I thought it was Monday today. There was no earthly reason for supposing that it was, but that's what was in my head. I just didn't 'get' why the car parks in Okehampton were totally rammed.....:o:o:o
Anyway, I worked it out....eventually! :rotfl:
And when I got back I found we have sheep again! :j0 -
Good Evening!
Been trying to keep up and failing miserably
LIR so sorry to hear about your dog. Choille I was so worried about you when I read about your upsetting encounter, I hope you are ok and taking yourself and that hubby got on ok with all his appointments.
I am good if increadibly harassed! So much to do and nowhere near enough hours in the day. The family are all well and looking forward to relaxing (if only briefly) over the festive season. It will be Rumlets first Christmas and he will love the dinner as brussell sprouts are one of his favourite things to eat
The garden is currently a wind blown mess however other than planning and scheming what I am going to do next year I am studiously avoiding the reality :rotfl: Just after Christmas we are going to have a visitor who won the best allotment award on his plot for 15 years in a row! We have only met briefly once however I fully intend to grill him while he is here for all his ideas and hard earned knowledge. It will almost be like having Dave visit
Anyway I will try much harder to keep in the loop!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
talking of sheep..... ive been offered some in lamb sheep  gotta buy them but the lure of having/seeing baba 's0

Go on, buy the sheep.....Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0
