Good for you, patman:beer:. Any news on the job hunting?
My EF hasn't had any extra added recently but at least I haven't had to spend what's in there yet. Hoping to do a very small:o Tilly Tidy at the end of the month and will be starting 2015 with a vengeance. Really must get some money together asap for my car repair (and whatever other emergencies are lying in wait:eek:.)0 -
Just had the monthly interest added to my e-saver account - £1.16 - so have transferred it into the emergency fund. Up to £371.16 now, but I will probably round that up towards the end of the month once I know what money I have left over.Debt free since May 20150

No luck on the job front, but then it is coming up to Christmas, so no-one is listing jobs at the moment.Never Knowingly Understood.

:hello: just checking in haven't been on for a month but have still been adding to my EF. I've managed to get up to £250, but in the last 2 weeks I've had an unexpected vet bill for £130 and car repairs £120 (expected and budgeted for
) I have desperately tried not to touch the EF for the £130 vet bill but it's now the 16th and I'm in my OD still have food shopping and petrol to buy so think I'm going to have to take the hit and learn to budget for vet bills

Must be a bit late for this challenge (or early) as I always ensure we have what we call a buffer zone, with a minimum of £1000 in it. There have been a few times it has been dipped into (always an emergency), when the washing machine bust and various unforseen events, but we always top it back up and ensure there is never less than £1000 at any one time.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Well done marleyboy. You put us to shame.
Mind you, there is no reason why you couldn't start a '£2,500 EF Challenge' thread for those members who already have £1,000 in an EF.
Sort of, ups the ante a bit and gives those with higher monthly outgoings to cover in an emergency something to aim at.
Right, off to post my piccie on the 'All of our photos..' thread if I can find it.Never Knowingly Understood.
