    Welcome on board.

The lsit was getting so long, I've had to split it across 2 columns. Now much easier to read.

Have finally (after 5 years), managed to reach pay-out point for 'Purprofile'. Have sent this to my savings account and they will be paying-out very late January. At this point, I will close my Pureprofile account as it really isn't worth the hassle.

Adding £69.07 to the emergency fund (may need to turn it in to the Christmas / rent pot in a week but it's better to have it built up than not!

  • Hi everyone
Can I join? Expensive car repairs and boiler repair has left 00000£s in emergency fund. So its onward and upward from the 0 signs.

  • My emergency fund is empty, however I have set up a standing order that as soon as my child benefit hits my account (starting Jan) it goes straight into the ISA.

I feel a bit weird about it, but my emergency fund is for the good of my kids in the long run so I think it's okay to do? What do you guys think?

If I learn to live without it then I can build a decent fund and can use some of it to treat the kids whilst still keeping that security blanket?

@roundthebend - I think it's a perfect use of child benefits. Once your emergency fund is full you can easily start building a fund each for them too. Your household budget will be a lot stronger once you have the EF in place.

Right, will have my final wages from my last job drop in to my account at the end of the week (well, actually it's for the 62 holiday hours I had accrued, so not techniccally 'wages', but who's gonna quibble with that). I intend to trabsfer some to my EF.

Right, off to update my diary.
