Right, I've been moving all my money around and have bought £900 of Premium Bonds (I already had £100, so now have £1000).
I'm taking this away from my emergency fund (even though I can access it pretty quickly if it's needed) so as it stands, my emergency fund now has £621.84 in it. Now to get it back up to £1000!!Starting a new debt free journeyStarting Debt: £5,250Current Debt: £4,995.50Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%Emergency Fund: £3500 -

£15,708 :eek:0 -
Not been online for day or two, so nice to see peole are still working towards their targets.
Like the idea of Premium Bonds. Not only can you cash them in and get your money back, but you might also pick u a win or two along the way.Never Knowingly Understood.

Hi all
#35 here to hang her head in disgrace:(:(
I have ZERO saved...... I do manage to keep getting around £250 saved and then life gets in the way and I have to spend it.
The most recent (excuse) is Dh had to have two weeks off from work for an operation and as he is self-employed we had no money coming in at all. so any money saved had to pay for bills & food.
I'm back now to VOW to get this £1000 saved asap.
I have no spare money in our regular wage due to even just paying minimum payments on debt and household bills.
BUT I plan to get sells on fleabay and FB and any sales profits will go straight to the Emergency fund pot.

I really feel for you, Steph. I know just how hard it is when debts and basic living costs take every bit of money you have coming in.
Just keep at it, you'll get there in the end:beer:.
I hope DH is on the mend now too:)0 -

Every little helps as they say.
Steph, by having that £250 in your EF, you were able to cope when you needed to. That is what the EF is all about and you certainly had an emergency so the spending counts as a positive.Never Knowingly Understood.

Nice to see your EF is still full to the brim, patman and that you haven't had an emergency to deplete it:beer:
