Good on you Muser1. I believe however short money maybe we can all find a little to give to others in greater need.

That's the good thing about having an EF, you can use it to donate to other peoples emergencies.

its been a while but I transferred £200 of my car budget into the emergency fund. Because I dont plan to replace my car until things start going majorly wrong with it I think I would be best off pooling the two pots and try to get £3000 into my EF in total, so thats £233/£3000

  • Just did a few house insurance quotes and I can't believe how much cheaper they seem now ???

Found several around £100 cheaper than my current one :j

Phoned them & they knocked £70 off (just shows eh!) but still about £40 more .... just weighing up if I should move (they've annoyed me the renewal was so high when it obviously didn't need to be!)

Just trying to juggle things to see if it's possible to pay it in one go (didn't think I'd be able to until next year) with it being so much cheaper - just wish it wasn't in May when everything else is due (car tax also due end June so can't borrow from that either!)

Very tempted to take from the EF and pay it back ... *sigh*
