Having an 'early' pay day can be a mixed blessing! I get paid in the 26th but if it falls at the weekend I get it the previous Friday, so it could be as early in the month as 24th.

Ohhhh definitely a mixed blessing ....

This month seems to have been particularly long for some reason - I've got £4 coins and change in my purse .....

I'm not usually quite as bad as this - but I've just remembered that I got stuff at the pet shop the week before last which I've forgotten to pay myself back for (they have their own budgeting pot) ....

Might try to manage and then that's a little extra can stay there so I can stock up on their stuff when it's on offer

    Happy Tuesday all ....

Hi, rising from the ashes. An early bird like me:)

I only have one pet (a cat) but when I total up my 'spending diary' at the end of each month I'm constantly amazed at how much of it has been spent on him:eek:. Not that I begrudge it really, he was a bedraggled stray that we took in and he deserves (and has) a happy secure life. Most of it are essentials anyway, but pet stuff is just so expensive even when taking advantage of every offer going. Next month is going to be an expensive one with annual flu booster due, plus I need to stock up on more flea and worm treatments.

I know exactly how it feels to have just a few coins to last to the end of the month. Been there and done that too many times for comfort:o. Good Luck, not long to go now:beer:
  • A TCB payment of £4.49 arrived in my current account this morning . Needless to say that's been transfered straight away to the EF :D

    My New total - :j £454.49 :j

    This is getting addictive :rotfl:
    Saving for that dream holiday
  • Hi,

Ive now got £39.32 in my EF - I put in £20 out my wages and rounded up my account to put the extra pounds and pennies into the EF :)

That was something I picked up from Amber03 - thank you
  • Hi, rising from the ashes. An early bird like me:)

Ahhh yes ..... and we'd been back from our morning walk for nearly an hour by then! :o

Awwwww to your cat, how lovely he's landed on his paws with you:)

Cat stuff is ridiculously expensive - would you believe it costs more to feed the cats (each!) than it does the dog .... and the dog eats a better quality food than they do! (well, certainly one of them!)

I have loads of money saving pet tips - if you're interested maybe drop me a PM as I'm not sure everyone would want to have me rabbit on about them here .....

Payslip arrived today .... £10 / month better off with the tax changes *sigh* ..... what shall I do with it all! :rotfl:

I have managed to add another £200 to my EF but this is a lot less than I have budget for! (note to self - do much better!!)
It's the end of the month so will be writing up my budget for May and see if I can squeeze some more for my EF account!

Got paid yesterday, but have bills due out on the 1st so will have to wait until Friday to see what I can move across.

I also need to pay off some of the un-paid service charges on my flat. I have made 1 payment out of 4 so far, so need to look at creating a budget in order to pay-off the arrears weekly.

A bonus for next week. Logged all last week's e-learning, so up to last night have 5 hours extra (at flat rate (boooo)) plus whatever I do this week.

Did an 'Asbestos Awareness' course this evening, so add that into the equation and that brings the total to 6 hours.

    3-6 month EF £0/£3600 (that's 0 days worth)

  • Pay day! :j:j:j

(don't know why I'm excited as it all just disappears into various budgeting pots! I do like feeding them though! :rotfl:)

Another £25 to the EF pot ..... I've allocated £20 to the house maintenance pot (creeping towards it's target!:T)

Budgeting pots starting to get back on track again *phew* - it does make such a difference to me

I have enough to pay my advance landline rental :T (due May) - and fingers crossed should have enough to pay my car insurance in full (due Sept) .... sadly don't have enough to pay the house insurance in full (also due May) so that's the next target!!

Hopefully by the end of the year I'll be totally sorted!
