Lots out and little in over the last 7 days. Mind you, it was for car insurance and pension so worth it.
Undertook and passed 2 online training courses for work. As I did these at home, I will get paid 1 hour for each, so 2 hours extra income on next week's pay packet (unless I can find the time to do some more).Never Knowingly Understood.

Welcome, NoLifeWithoutYou:hello:
patman started this thread at the beginning of October so early joiners have had nearly 7 months to add money to their Emergency Funds:T.
It looks as if some people save a regular amount every month whilst others put in whatever they can whenever they can manage it. Or a combination of the two. If you read through the whole thread you'll see all sorts of ideas that people have used to save a bit extra.
Good Luck:beer:0 -
Morning carbootcrazy!
Wow so been a long time, I'm paying off my debts with the £200-450 I have spare each month (depends on what month haha) and then I'll be putting into the fund. You've been doing well!
Yeah I had a little skim read on the pages already, you lot are amazing honestly and such a good idea.
Thanks for the good luck! Same to you and can't wait to see when you hit 1,000!

Morning everyone
£10 has been added to my savings this morning.:j
So far I have £12.15/1000 (1.2%)
I have decided each time I may buy something unnessesary (such as cakes from the coffee shop at work) I will transfer the money into savings instead. I only buy them when I'm bored anyway and never really want them. It will be motivating to see the money go into savings instead.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Thanks:T. Don't hold your breath though as there's something seriously wrong with the gear box of my old banger of a car. I suspect most of what I've scrimped together for my EF is about to be spent on getting back on the road:mad:. Shouldn't grumble though as that's what an Emergency Fund is there for. I never had the luxury of one before:o and paying for such emergencies was a nightmare.0 -

Hi carbootcrazy I can sympathise, I haven't logged my ef for a few weeks as I think the rust bucket is at the end of the road:eek:
So every penny I can lay my hands on is going into ef which might momentarily be £1000 but it's really for another rust bucket.
It will be back to square one again:rotfl:
