I had full POA for my Step-mum (who recently passed) and luckily didn't have to face this problem.
The whole point of a POA is to protect your father from what or whoever is not in his best interests or causes him harm or distress. Offend or please your aunts, that is what must be done and the sooner the better for your and your mum's sake, as well as your dad's.
I wish you well but you need to act quickly before too much damage is done by the aunts.

Thanks for all the responses. I appreciate the time taken to respond.
Please be assured I am acting in my Dad's best interests today.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Good luck Molly. As I said before he is very lucky to have you and his mum acting in his interests and thank goodness you do have POA.

This does come over very strongly.

Don't let anything his sisters say make you doubt yourself.
