Direct Debit Rebate. Help!!!!

I contacted a company about ppi. They looked at 6 years of bank statements and told me I was due some direct debit rebates. Apparently, some of the companies have set them up wrong!
Ok I said fine. Get it back for me. Yesterday they rang the bank for me with me present and this morning I have £9000 in my bank. This is scary. How can this be right? And can the company now pursue the £9k off me.
The company say they have the necessary documentation to support my claim and nat west wouldn't of paid me it back if they wasn't happy with my claim. The company also told me I am due another £10.000 in wrongly set up direct debits.
I can't spend the money it's on my mind that much. I've googled the company -claimsmadesimple.com. Well established company who have been doing claims/ppi/bank charges for years. I cannot find any bad press or any information on this direct debit rebate.
SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!!!
So scared of the outcome!
Thank you

I think you need a copy of the 'necessary documentation to support' your claim that they say they have. This should give you a detailed breakdown of what they have actually claimed for.

You don't have to be the best -
Just be better than you were yesterday.0 -
They (company) have said they will correspond with the company should they contest it. I honestly can't get my head around it 0

It is really scary that allegedly some companies have wrongly taken £19K from you by DDs and you don't have even slightest idea what it actually was.0

They have said the companies have set up the direct debit wrong allowing me to claim the money back. Mobile phone company for example. I've used the mobile and incurred the costs of using it. But now I can get the money back even though I've used the phone. Seems crazy that I can get some of the money back because they set the DD up wrong!!!! I'm pretty sure now it's sunk in they will pursue money owed.0

This has got to be a wind up, what company are you using?0

This is a "scam" the bank repay Direct Debits as being "wrongly paid" the bank then realises they were paid correctly and want the money back, you then end up out of pocket as you have to pay the claim co, I am not up to speed with this but hopefully someone (I think it was dunstonh) who has replied regarding this previously.0

I think so. The company will invoice me today to pay them by bank transfer for their work.0

It's a scam. Don't fall for it. Speak to your bank immediately and do not speak to the scammers again. Certainly do not pay them any money.0

I think so. Thank you all. I knew all this but when thousands land in your bank it plays mind games. I'm the winner now and you guys carried me over the finishing line. Thanks0
