So i presume if you put the life of an animal above that of a person, you're a vegan are you ?
You're not going to see an animal harmed just for your pleasure.

At my last house my neighbour was constantly putting Fox PPP in my garden, after asking around we found he was doing this to four local cat owners. He was clearly a vey intelligent chap, so in the end I posted him an information leaflet on cat poo that I made, funnily enough enough the fox poo stopped and we saw some pro fox huntingstickers appeared in his window and car!
  • The tenants next door have two cats that I've caught damaging my trellis, falling through and breaking my cold frame and doing their business in freshly planted pots of seed and elsewhere in the garden. Since June I've had hedgehogs visiting in the back and after their initial curiosity I've found that the cats rarely visit the back now, hooray. Love seeing the hedgehogs. I've still discovered their whiffy poo on the front lawn but I've started growing rue and have just planted some out front. Apparently cats hate the smell of it and the good thing is it's fully hardy unlike other recommended plants. It's very pretty to look at with fern-like blue-green foliage. I will get some more on the go in spring. Time will tell but I'm hopeful. A water scarecrow would be pricey and I don't think the postman would appreciate a daily soaking!

Never heard of it but if it works it may be the perfect answer. Those that don't like the mess that cats leave would be happy and the cat lovers pleased that their pets will come to no harm from over zealous neigbours.

No, only those who have irresponsible owners

I don't understand how people think cats have owners. Cats have free will and live and go (and poo) where they please.

    Echoes of post #55:rotfl:

Back to the OP's original question, the cat is the neighbours property, anything the cat does is too. Because you know this and have witnessed it happening you are legally obliged to return the said property to the neighbour, preferably in liquid form and dribbled through the letter box.

Ok, not the correct thing but I do wonder how it would go down if you did post the s!!t! back
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Only the feral ones, domestic cats that are pets have responsible owners.

Clearly you've never been owned by a cat! I'd love to hear your thoughts on how a responsible cat "owner" should train/control their pet.

So by inference it could be irresponsible to own a cat as as you say they can't be trained to an urban existence?

    My thoughts?

If someone decides to have a pet then they should take full responsibility for it, simple really.

Cats should be either kept indoors, kept in a run http://www.catrun.org.uk/ or you need to own enough land that your car will not travel onto other people's.
