After trying pretty much a lot of things
I have finally given in and planted lots of lillies, daffodils - have to say 2 of the cats have stopped coming - May be they got poisoned by Lily.

It could be so full of shrubs, ground cover and perennials that there's no room for the cats to carp anywhere, just like mine.
In my case it's primarily a way of preventing weeds growing, but if deterring cats is a priority, then think of that as a useful spin-off.0
