    I dont't :j

I've never been in debt, no wage slavery for me :T :T :T :T :T

Eatmyfish, why have you even bothered to reply to the OP?

This is a forum for support and you are about as supportive as a flossin training bra  In the words of Bambi's Mother "If you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all"

OP - its natural to feel guilt over our debts & constantly worry about getting free from them.
I coped by thinking to myself - right I am paying it back, everylast penny, it's going to take some time and it's going to be hard but I will get there. They cannot take what you do not have & believe me when you are on your @rse in debt you realise what you do and do not need.

Stick here for support, when I was at my lowest I was always here, maybe not posting but always reading.
When I could see no end to my debts, being here made me realise that other people are far worse than me and they were dealing with it just fine.
You could be £100 in debt or £1,000,000 it makes no difference here, and that helped me no end.

    Take care

The OP asked for help and support. The poster can't sleep at night for worrying. Now I know your Latin is not up to much but lets be honest how dumb must one be to not understand to the original question?

Lucky you for not being in debt but, if the day ever comes when you are please feel free to ask for support ;)

Wicked! What's the translation?I seem to be getting a lot of flak simply because I announced I'm not in debt! There seems to be a lot of denial here from people who have overborrowed...But consider, it's fools who overborrow that caused the last credit bubble and recession in 1989; putting many people on the dole.Take some responsability and stop whining!!!

BEFORE you post any more of your sanctimonious comments on this forum, could you, please, read and digest the following thread:

Then, since you are so obviously not in need of any of the support and advice that the posters on this board both give and receive, you may wish to reconsider your decision to intrude.

Thank you - please close the door behind you.

Nope, the thread is entitled "How do you cope with the guilt of being in debt?"I answered that question, the thread wasn't entitled "Oh please give my support for overspending and now I can't sleep"
I think in the interest of everyone, u should leave this thread for people who actually want to support the OP.
U are not getting flak for not being in debt, u are getting it for being rude and judgemental about those of us that are in debt.
I don't normally do this, but I have also reported u to abuse - its people like u that could scare of the newbies/lurkers that actually want/need our support. I have seen some of ur other posts too, and whilst we all welcome differing opinions, there are ways to put yourself across without being rude or offensive. - perhaps u should wander off into ur debt free world and practice ur people skills!

Denial, again!I just have a different viewpoint and you see that as abusive?I havn't even used bad language even when it's directed at me!Gosh, I'm soooo scared I've been reported, really, I'm quaking in my boots!
    1) What exactly is it u think I am in denial about?
    2) You don't need to use bad language to be abusive, u have no respect for the OP or anyone else here, or for Martin and his team, and what they are trying to achieve with this site.
    3) I don't care if ur sarcastically 'quaking in ur boots', I didn't report u to scare u, I did it because I feel ur comments were highly uneccessary when the OP was after support - instead of putting ur point across in a palatable manner, u decided to imply that we are all 'slaves' and 'stupid for getting into debt'. U have come across as condescending and judgemetal in just about every post.

I was in debt about 27 years ago due to losing my job. Its awful knowing you owe money and you have no income. However I did not feel sorry for myself (well about 5 minutes) and regarded it as a challenge. I eventually found a full time job and I use to go to sleep thinking that in 2 years I would be debt free. I stuck to a budget and achieved my objective. It does not matter what other people think. We will no doubt be judged by a far higher authority at the end of our time.

I still find it hard to accept that it seems cool to go bankrupt and walk away from your responsibilities. A friend of mine who is only 29 had a personal bankruptsy for £38,0000 through spending on credit cards. Even though he knew he could not pay the companys back he still continued to use them.
  • I hate the fact that I'm in debt. I really do, but I'm determined to pay it back. Now that I've posted my SOA, I'm going to make a concerted effort to actually do so.

    Good luck everyone. :)

You're in denial because you wish to suppress viewpoints you don't agree with...I might add that abuse has been hurled at me, but being a gentleman I havn't told people to "go Away" in the commen parlance. If you have debt, to some extent you are a slave, I congratulate Martin and his team for doing something about it via DFW.Many people on these boards describe themselves as stupid, well so what? I've been young and stupid too! Personally I would like to see everyone out of debt and living wonderful, happy lives...Take care
