I'm no expert(standard disclaimer ),but my gut feeling is that this significant wobble will continue for a little while longer with a general downward trend. Once an economy is used to QE, its difficult to wean it off the drug which gives it life. I have done some de-risking this week to preserve profits before they become losses.
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..
  • It's hard for me not to look when I have just invested, I invested another £45k in a vanguard etf yesterday, it promptly went down by another 1%. Of course I know and realise that in the long run, that is irrelevant, but I do tend to check the price a few times the same day as investing (even when I already have £500k invested, I know that it is irrational, but then again I'm only human) then I just forget about it and get on with my life.

Must be nice having a random £45k loafing around to invest.

Are you still buying FOS, or are you sitting tight for now?

At present I am minimally invested. Just a small amount in vanguard and unicorn UK income and both are minus.

I do however have a large sum in the store of my isa for purchases.

I don't feel it is right just yet. I don't share the bullish optimism here I'm afraid.

Does that mean you sold out all your previous investments?
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

Yes I have only two funds now VLS60 and Unicorn UK Income.

I am glad I got shot of Tesco when I did and Easyjet - think they are both flying very low now.

Not sure on Tesco - I have the thought of buy when others are fearful blah blah at the moment on that so I may buy back in.

It was a maturing fixed rate savings bond with BM, I would rather have left it where it was as it was paying 5.15% PA. It was my last decent savings product, the best one now is an NSI cert paying just over RPI tax free, so nothing special and only £15k in it anyway.
