Hey DB
I figured it's not worth setting a target that's just put of reach at the end of the month (I usually end up deflated then)
I've already clocked up 9.5 hours this month and have a few more scheduled for next week.
I love my new job, overtime is always available :j I could never get any in my old job (was a night worker) as I didn't have any spare time (too tired!)
Just spent a few hundred quid of new wardrobes for the kids bedrooms, we don't really have the money but they've been living without them since we moved in last year so took the plunge and ordered some nice ones that should last a whileHistoric Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!
Mortgage started June 2015 = £170,000 January 2022 = £134,000
Saving for Xmas 2022= . . Amazon £55

Good afternoon diary
Logged on to the banking last night and checked the amount outstanding for the mortgage.
It's gone down by £2k since we moved in (it's depressing the amount of an £800 monthly mortgage payment initially goes on interest)
I know it's not a brilliant amount (that's the way mortgages work I suppose) but it still made me feel a bit better.
Getting it down to £165k by Christmas would be nice (but will never happen as there's no spare cash to over pay yet)Historic Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!

Hello diary
Well I've been pricing up a short holiday for us in the summer, managed to get it down to under £900 for all of us for 4 days away including passes for various things over the 4 days.
Unfortunately reality set in and having spent over £500 on furniture I'm reluctant to send the credit card bill any higher
Am scaling it down to a 2 day break same as the last one we did but am worrying even that is too expensive
Oh well, if we don't book anything at least we're not trying to spend money we don't have right now
On a plus note I've already reached my overtime target for the month :j got one more extra shift to do so I'll have gone way over the target I set myself :jHistoric Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!

Hello diary
Well I have to find money for a £400 payment to my credit card for Friday.
Luckily payday is on Friday, but that means if I use the money from there I just have to find it later on
Hopefully DH and my overtime gets paid properly, I'm still owed most of last months as it wasn't paid properly
On the plus side I realised we've not been out for dinner for a while :j no sneaky maccys and definitely no big family meals for special occasions (although we have had a few pizza night ins at home but that's with massive shop bought pizzas)
Will have to sit down and have a finance check next month as I think our debts won't have moved since the end of last month.Historic Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!

Good morning diary
Well the amount of debt owed has probably gone up(I'll be checking in a minute)
Buying new furniture, renewing bus pass, TV license, nursery fees, driving lessons, there's been a fair few payments going out
Oh well, will try and get it back down a bit this monthHistoric Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!

Debts for the end of April....
CC1 £913
CC2 £3,830
Total amount owed £4,743
It's depressing but the debt owed has gone up by about £500
Need to give it a right battering this month, I'll be glad when this debt is goneHistoric Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!

Hello diary
Made myself feel a little bit better tonight, just paid £200 off that darn credit card.
Still need to find another £220 or so to clear it by the end of the month.
Would be lovely if this debt is below £4k at the end of the monthHistoric Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!

Hey Verbatim, thanx for swinging by
Well it looks like I've found the remaining money to pay the credit card bill :j
Got some money coming into the bank on Tuesday, just in time to pay the bill
Now to find some extra, only to try and batter down the other card.
I really want debts to be below £4kHistoric Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!
