Debt for the end of January.

£358 CC 1 (balance is now paid off every month so no interest is accrued)
    £2,400 CC 2 0% BT until March 2016
    £2,800 CC 3 0% BT until January 2017

    Total amount outstanding £5,558

Bit of a bad month for debt busting :(
Luckily this month has started off better, I've paid off the littlest credit card and the balance is currently zero :j

    Good morning diary,
Not checked in for a while :o
Well the debt busting is going slow still, unfortunately it appears were not making any headway
DH credit card offered him 0% on purchases until September so we're taking advantage of that and using the money we don't spend to batter down the other card as the 0% ends in about 4 weeks.
It means the debt isn't going down any at the moment, it's just shifting across to one card (it does make sense honest!)
I refuse to pay any interest on the card that goes back to standard rate next month  :rotfl:
I'm going to write up a menu for the kids dinners for the next month so I stop nipping out to the shops and buying stuff as we need it as I know that's proving expensive
Better go find my pen and paper!

    Good morning diary.
Well after a couple of days of flickering it seems I'm having a new LBM.
The debts are still going down (all be it rather slowly :( ) and despite me saying I was going to sort out dinner menu at the weekend I haven't done it :o
DH decided he's getting a new car (quite an expensive one) quite a while back (I'm happy for him to get one) but the deal is he's not allowed one until the debts are paid off.
Sooooo, I need to get cracking :)
I'm off to a good start today and the kids have decided they want pancakes for dinner :rotfl: I'm reminded of growing up, we used to have pancakes and beans on toast quite often (and I loved it) which I know now was obviously the points of the week when money was short.
So pancakes for dinner tonight :) need to order my shopping and need to sort out this flaming menu!

    Hello diary :)
Well it's a new month, the debt busting is top of my list for this month :j mainly because the 0% on my credit card comes to an end in a couple of weeks.

Debt for the end of February

£0 CC 1 :j credit card now pretty much sits at zero and is only for emergencies, account will probably be closed down soon as loyalty rewards are rubbish!
    £2,000 CC 2 0% BT until March 2016
    £3,179 CC 3 0% BT until January 2017

    Total amount outstanding £5,179

Sooooo, the debt has come down by a reasonable amount.
I have paid another £500 off CC 2 today (not accounted for above) so am making good headway on tackling it before the 0% ends. DH should get his bonus this month so that should clear what remains and I can dip into my overdraft for a week if I need to bridge the gap between the 2 (not used the overdraft for months now, that may hurt! :rotfl: )
CC 3 is going up as we have 0% on purchases for 6 months so shopping is currently going on there while we use the cash in the bank account to clear the other card. This card has a limit of £4k.
So, hopefully at the end of this month the amount outstanding should be below £4k :j and it will all be on one single card :j

    I'm feeling confident this month :j :T :j

    Good morning diary :)
Well I'm just finishing my second week in my new job, all is going well (was a bit wobbly last week as it's such a change from my last job and what I'm used to)
Feeling positive on the debt busting front, just trying to find the money to clear off this pesky card this month.
Going to have to start looking onwards soon as need to pay off the HTB in 4 years time  that's a lot of money we have to find!
I better start looking for a second job :rotfl:

    Good evening diary :)
Finally got my backside on the wii fat this week, I've list 3lb :j (it's not that good really, I had managed to gain a lot more since the middle of last year) need to start behaving myself :o
Paid another £500 off that pesky credit card, only problem is the other one seems to be going up while this one is going down :(
Better get to bed! Night diary :)

    Good morning diary.
Well it's a depressing morning for me, I've dipped into my overdraft for the first time in nearly a year :(
The 1st of the balance transfers was due to be paid off by today so I decided it was better to pay overdraft fees (17%) which is better than my default credit card fees (26%).
I also decided not to do yet another 0% transfer because that just pushes the debt into the future :o
Fingers crossed I can clear the overdraft and be back in the black for the whole of next month :)
