Thank you seaside dreamer and babafette ( don't think I will afford the holiday if I keep shopping as I do).
I have been very naughty:D
INS ( from lush)
Hot toddy shower gel 500g ( well if I am going to buy it I may as well buy the big bottle, as it only counts as I IN)
So white shower gel 100g ( not sure about it so bought the small one, see I can be good)
3 x The wizard bubble bar ( not really needed as I only have 47ish bubble bars but it is a scent that has never been in a bubble bar before so I thought I better to stock up)
2 Lord of Misrule bath ballistics ( I m down to 10 bath bombs so really my hat box looks a little empty and I do adore this one)
2 x Holly bubble bar ( hot today scented, bought only to go with the shower gel)
Hedgehog bubble bar
Pumpkin bubble bar
2 snow angels ( snowcake scented, a favourite already, along with the majority of what lush stocks really)
Cinder bath ballistic ( again one of my favourites but I will stock up in the sale)
Dashing Santa ( bought because apparently it dashes across the water and I wanted to see what it does)
Face mask free with 5 pots I returned ( see I can save money)
172g egg nog soap ( this is lovely, but I do want to eat it)
250g reindeer soap
INS ( not lush but 99p store)
2 hair masks
2 apple tango liquid hand wash
Little me organics body cream ( no idea why I purchased this but eventually I will use it)
That's everything, I have moved to the naughty step probably forever.0 -
Thanks for starting us off again Sundaysgirl. Thank you everyone also for some really lovely comments on the September thread.
It's funny how some items hang around for years, despite use by dates.
I saw Virgin Vie mentioned somewhere earlier and thought that had to be an oldish item as they went out of business some time ago.
I can't talk, though.
I came across 2/3rds of an Andrew Collinge Purity Volume Therapy conditioner behind a storage box, but I think that may be destined to be a TA, I seem to recall it made my hair lank and dull after a few uses.
It was a £land buy at least two years ago, lord knows how long it had languished in storage before it hit their shelves. Just about all that can be TA'd from my small stash, though.
I genuinely have no desire to buy any more toiletries. I am cured. :j :j
What I use now works well, although I will have to find one or two replacements for A!di Specialbuys (foot cream and eye cream, possibly face oil). A fair chunk of the current stash is from there, but not all.
So what works for me:
A!di buys: Face HGs: Serum , 3-in-1 Wipes, Expert Day Cream , Body:
Anti-aging moisturiser Hair: Light Brown hair colour. Plus HG foot cream, eye cream from Specialbuys.
Shampoo and conditioner: No HGs Av*n Moroccan Oil, A!di Aussie looky-likeys from Specialbuys.
Haven't decided on spray/leave in hair treatments yet. The Av*n ones are good, so are Elvive.
Shower gels: HG Original Source, also like Imperial Leather ones.
Other body bits I like are the Av*n Dry Oil Sprays (HG of body oil) and Family Cream,. No HG body butter as yet.
Antiperspirant HG: Mitchum roll on.
You'll notice that there is no bath stuff (I only shower, though I use a portable bidet for added daily hygiene), and minimal face care, no washes, gels, cleansers, etc, etc. I don't use body or facial scrubs, but gentle brushing instead.
I found out a long time ago that with my skin, less was more. Providing I didn't sunbathe and applied moisturiser with sun block, my skin was happy.
I do have lots of gizmos to remove hair from the body, (shave, IPL, epilate) to dry and curl hair and to straighten it, as well.(Just about all of them sent to me from Am*zon to trial and review, though).
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Definitely send people the l'occitane emails if you get one, my mum sent me one and I got my freebies today

Went a bit mad in lush with the boyfriend, getting overexcited for christmaswe got a big bottle of hot toddy the christmas shower gel, reindeer soap, yog nog soap and a snow fairy massage bar. They are to share.... And for christmas..... I'll just take a rest here on the naughty step....

I got one too as on their e-mail list. Sent one to my mum, bestie and another to my other email address which they don't know about. I never got my e-mail for a start, maybe they do know somehow!!
My mum got hers but when you go to where you can pick it up from my local store in Nottingham isn't there? Nearest is Leicester which is too much of a trek for some l'occitane freebies!
Do you think only some stores are participating or would i be able to turn up at the Nottm store with my voucher i wonder?0 -
I don't think I've had this l'occ email - I checked the Facebook page and my emails but couldn't see anything
I've been looking at the Boots website. Does anyone else look at the gifts and automatically halve the price thinking of the boxing day sale? Not sure there's all that much I'm tempted by this time round...0 -

These all had me PMSL :rotfl: Lovely haul which I can admire from afar, because just walking past Lush is enough to give me a migraine. I have had a couple of products bought for me as gifts but I have been underwhelmed on the whole. Maybe it's because I hate baths?!
I shopped for a new bronzer today but that in itself turned into a massive headache; I am so pale, I can't seem to find anything that's light enoughEnded up at the Estee Lauder counter and had the young man apply their lightest one -- I still have orange stripes down my cheeks
Can anyone assist?! I looked in Boots, Superdrug, TBS, John Lewis… I don't want shimmer. I have been using Bourjois chocolate bronzer but even in the light shade it's just a tad too orangey. HELP, please!!

The BS have a fantastic bronzer that is suitable for even the palest complexions.. it's this one:

If you can get it in the sales or with codes off it is very good value.
Bought is to buy. Brought is to bring.0
