Not possible in this case I'm afraid, he'd be more than welcome but he lives an hour away and has a tonne of things to keep him there, plus the line of work he's in is quite specialist (meteorology) and much as I love where I live, there is nowhere comparable any closer than where he is now, plus he has a tonne of other commitments, basically he's spent years building up his life there.
I am footloose and fancy-free really, the only tie I have here is my few local friends and I'd hope they'd stay friends if I moved (they would), I'd be perfectly happy to move into his for a short time but I would stipulate that after a couple of months, we'd have to start looking for somewhere of our own. His house is very much not my cup of tea, in fact there are several things I just COULDN'T live with, it's quite small in comparison to my place and the stairs are scarily shallow and steep  It's basically one of those Victorian houses that weren't meant to be around for long so they didn't really build them that well design wise, but of course they stayed as they are structurally sound. Plus where he lives is good for getting to work, but I'd be on Rightmove within a month I think lol!No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

Woah, that's a blast from the past. My dear MIL used to wear this all the time.
Dashing santa bath ballistic WMBA I was really looking forwards to this one and was really hoping to see it move across the bath. It did not do anything of the sort, not a walk, tiptoe or anything even with a little shove it stayed in the same place. It did take 10 minutes to disolve and was very pretty but would only buy them in the sale.
.
To be fair you might have been expecting a little too much as the REAL Santa only moves for one day a year anyway. :rotfl: Emma will be disappointed as well, I bet. She has tried the Northern Lights bath bomb so far and loved that.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. Hola Beauty Queens
I have been utterly rubbish with keeping up with all your news, sorry, I will endeavour not to drive-by-post and disappear again!
I have had a mini sort through my makeup this morning and binned 9 items:
Maybelline Illegal Lengths Waterproof Mascara; dried up
Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer in 51; (a) too dark and (2) had sealed over so I could only get to about 1/4 of the product anyway
Benefit High Beam Highlighter; had gone uber gloopy. I prefer Sun Beam anyhoo
Maybelline Fit Me Foundation; not enough coverage for my face and oxidises REALLY BADLY. I looked oompa-loompa-esque
Two eyebrow pencils; too warm, not dark enough and I use powder these days and much prefer the look
Collection Idol'eyes Eye Shimmer Crayon; brick hard, can barely get any colour off on the back of my hand, let alone my eyeballs!
NYC Kohl Kajal; didn't like the colour on me (dark blue) and also, it was very hard too. I like my pencils soft, a la Avon Supershock or Rimmel Scandaleyes
elf Contouring Blush & Bronzer Duo; bronzer is waaaay too dark and the blush had no visible colour payoff, even on my translucent skin
I haven't got time to update my list "proper" but I have had a quick count up and will be updating my sig to show 126 products in stock. This doesn't include eye shadows, lip products, nail varnishes or anything in the bathroom cupboards which I don't use myself.
I am going to return my epilatorDH bought it for me as a birthday gift in July but I cannot persevere with it any longer, my legs haven't been smooth for a single day since it arrived and I am covered (and I mean covered) with ingrown hairs
I have been exfoliating and moisturising daily but they're still buried under the skin and the only way I can avoid them becoming red, angry spots is to pull the hair out THROUGH THE SKIN'S SURFACE with a pair of tweezers. It really hurts and is causing lots of tiny scars, I look like a freshly plucked chicken
I'm really disappointed, I SO wanted this to work for me but it's time to throw in the towel. Back to the razors it is then.
To try and end on a high note though…! I have really been enjoying the L'Oreal Infallible foundation I bought recently. The first time I tried it, I was fresh out the shower and didn't moisturise my face before applying -- it made my face feel soooo dry, it was actually itching and I thought it was destined for the TA list. However, as long as I apply lashings of face cream as a base, it glides on really well, gives great coverage without caking and lasts a really long time. I think it could rival ELDW on all these points, I have the colour 125 Natural Rose which is slightly lighter than Cool Bone and more neutral in tone (I fine the ELDWCB to be quite peachy) and it's by far the best high street colour match I have found. For those of you who are even more pale than I (the mind boggles :rotfl:), they also have a lighter porcelain shade. HTH
I go on my holibobs a week tomorrowSorry for banging on about it but I am so freaking excited, it's not even funny. I have scoped out a Sephora not far from our hotel, whether it can convince DH to walk there in 35 degree heat is another matter but a girl can dream
If anyone can recommend any books for my Nook for poolside reading, or any TV series which I can download to watch post-pool, pre-dinner, I'd love to hear them. I'll read just about anything, although I tend to shy away from girly chick lit, and as far as TV goes we have watched all of The West Wing, The Sopranos, The Wire, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Arrested Development, Sons of Anarchy and Deadwood, to name but a few; just to give you an idea of the sort of thing which sucks us in0 -

Sorry to hear of the problems with your epilator, have you tried a No No? I love mine, I use it on the highest setting and I can't feel a thing, it's a dream, you do have to use it three times a week to begin with but it's brilliant and well worth the money!
If you have netflix, I'd highly recommend Fresh Meat and The US Office, I am :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:when I watch them! I also loved Arrested Development so hopefully these will be to your taste. No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

If you like West Wing I definitely recommend The Good Wife, and Community is a warm hearted less zany Arrested Development (and only 20 mins an episode so perfect to dip in and out of).
Poolside reading - Gone Girl if you haven't already, and if you like witty supernatural stuff Ben Aaromovitch's Rivers of London series and Benedict Jacka's Alex Verus series. I also recommend Jenny Lawson (aka the Bloggess)s 'Let's Pretend This Never Happened' and I defy you not to snort a cocktail everywhere0 -
Hope all is well for everyone. More ins than outs this month as I've not been being feeling too good this month and so not been using as many products. I'm going to make more of an effort to restart my grooming routines such as manicures and pedicures etc to get rid of stuff.
Outs: MUA Extreme Volume mascara - Does an ok job for the price. WMBA.
Ins: Much better birch box this month:
Pixi shea butter lip balm
Glowing Serum by Cindy Crawford
Cool fix Ingrown hair lotion
KMS California Hair play styling finish
2 x Cattier Paris Clay mask
Also got a Sanctuary sleep set from my friend:
Comforting night butter
4 in 1 Restoring body elixir
Sleep Soothing bath float
Smoothing body scrub0 -

Yes would definitely recommend Gone Girl too. The only other good book I've read recently is Cross and Burn by Val McDermid however if you have not read any of her Tony Hill books you might be best starting with an earlier one. Plus this one refers to a lot of things that happened in The Retribution!
TV wise - have you seen Breaking Bad? Not sure if this can be downloaded from anywhere other than Netflix but worth a watch if not. Am also enjoying Blacklist, Hannibal and Sleepy Hollow.
OK ladies. INs to report. My LE order has arrived. The new Ltd. Ed C&P is lovely. At first you can only smell the orange however once I'd dried my face I could feel the mint tingling slightly and it's left my skin feeling really clean. Winner! In my order I also got this month's essentials : 200ml C&P, 200ml IBST and 30ml Skin Repair with free full sized Body Lotion. All products that I love.
Went to Trafford Centre today to collect the L'Occitane free gift. Ladies you get a voucher in it also for £10.00 off on a spend of £20.00. MrM bought me a bottle of Jasmine & Bergamot fragrance for Christmas so made a little saving on that.
Other than that we bought some bedding from Debenhams and obtained 2 x £5,00 vouchers and generally mooched until it was time to collect Emma from Chemistry Club. Went into Lush to see if the Christmas gift guides were available however they are not producing this year, folks will need to look on the internet.
Invested in some cheap nail polish remover today and have got most of the Shellac off but it's turning into a LHJ and the wine is calling. Will try again tomorrow.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I have a couple of uu
Elemis Revitalise Me Shower Gel 50ml, DH used this, I think it must be from the men's range based on the smell, several more bottles in the stash but after they have gone WNBA I don't think.
Estee Lauder Pleasures - GWP size, this is nice enough but not distinctive enough for me to buy.
Philosophy Peppermint Bark Shower Gel 100ml - WNBA although I do have another bottle in the stash. This was disappointing, it smelt nice but the fragrance was lost in the bath, it didn't lather or feel as luxurious as their other shower gels, the last bit in the bottle was used to bath the dog.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I have some Ins, as got Glossybox delivered:
Nuxe face mask
(I don't count make up items as ins!)
Would anyone like my nail varnish from the box? Not a colour I will ever wear.
