  • oh my goodness LW what a lot to go through :( glad that you sound nearly out the other side. Well done for coping so well as you did solo. Sounds like they are sorting him out properly at least, my dad chose to ignore all his prostate symptoms for years, causing his bladder to swell up like a melon over several years, which has unfortunately put him into renal failure. He's had 2 x prostate ops now, which weren't too awful (in the grand scheme of things) and catheters for short periods = Prostate all sorted now but kidneys still crock :(:( . So good on Mr LW for taking responsibility for himself!

Thanks for the potato advice :D I'll give a few a go at eating and see how they are, then proceed from there. Have decided not to grow so many spuds next year! Before we had the allotment I used to grow them in bags in the garden, and it worked really well, I watered them properly and they were just there to pull out whenever we wanted to eat them - at the allotment, they get a bit neglected and unwatered so I don't get so many and I never have them to hand when I want to eat them!

bit more kitchen action has taken place here and some more washing. Stuff all sorted out for tomorrow, just need to iron my uniform and may be generous and do a few shirts for DH :rotfl: Once I've decluttered the children to bed I might go for a HHI. Rock and Roll.
  • Well it's a very friendly place on this thread. Sorry to hear those with health problems - wishing you all the best.

I have managed to do pretty much all on my list from earlier.
Blitzed house from top to bottom, bar the kitchen - so am pleased.

I have done afternoon school run on foot so boys could cycle home, and taken them to beavers/cubs. Made their pack lunches for tomorrow & about to 'operate' on one special bed toy. Also need to do online shop.

Shall sleep well tonight. Hope everyone's day has gone well and that you are able to relax soon.

LW.. you've done fantastically well by the sounds of it.. I hope your hurties bog off soon and how I wish I lived closer so I could come help you <3 Poor Mr LW, he's had a right rum deal this year hasn't he? :( hopefully once this is sorted he will be fine for another good many years.. He'll be like a new man getting all these dodgy bits fixed ;) (((hugs)))

Had a bargainous trip to Tescolo's .. saved £23 in multibuys, saved £70+ in the YS section... my trolley was overflowing.

The chimney pot guy came to cap my chimney and couldn't do it because he couldn't get close enough to sort it.. he is getting a price for a scaffold so the £80 job rose to £150 and I'm now looking at a potential £400 ... best sell some more of my sh..treasures :( Good job I saved so much on food!

lamewolf/B] sending lots of healing thoughts your way.

Dusty - takes a while to settle in. My niece didn't get on with people in her flat, but found her closest friends from another block. Just keep meeting and chatting.

Not much more done today after busy morning. Sewed part of baby cardigan for friend, need to finish tomorrow ready to post I have another three to sew as well. Prefer the knitting :o
