Well done on keeping everything moving forwards on all fronts:T.
Trees....ah yes. We have had a tree dead 3 years now and have had quotes 3 times to get it taken down as it is very very tall, and behind the garage. Became very urgent over the last year as all bark was falling off so there was a huge risk it would come down in winds. Last quote was in December - £750 plus VAT. WE decided to go ahead but then they couldn't fit it in before Christmas. Every stormy night I couldn't sleep for fear that it would come down and damage property. Well .....In January, in the period I wasn't posting, it came down! snapped clean in half. It missed the garage, all three cars and the house. The top half fell into another huge tree. It meant that it was accessible so that we could chainsaw it into logs ourselves. Saving £1000 and stocking up in firewood for the rest of the year.:rotfl: I :rotfl:was :rotfl:born :rotfl:lucky. :rotfl:

NOA
Thanks NOA - I'm trying to keep busy this week and get lots of things done.
The trees being cut will be quite a relief. We were going to do it jointly with neighbours over the fence who have a huge tree which started swaying quite worryingly after the storms earlier this year. I went round to talk to them about it and the following week their gardener cut it down.....great.....as I didn't really want a 'joint venture' being a total control freak
The newly cut trees will spur me on to get the garden all sorted and nice for spring.......can't wait for the clocks to change and smell the the newly mown grass :rotfl:!!!!
This is also a serious money week so I'll report in what I achieve.
I hope your parents are doing OK.

Brogden armed with Debit Card in hand.....I can see the fearful predators crumbling into a pile of dust which Brogden casually blows away, puts his debit card back in his holster and rides off into the sunset.......
