  • Can you burn or sell the cut wood? Gotta say, live performances are always worth it for me esp if it's aging performers who may not tour for much longer.

Hey Brogden we have recently acquired a hive due to boiler control failure. I am still evaluating the financial impact but can deffo say you'll need a fleece. Chilly or what?! Seems to say 18degrees most of the time. Which may, financially, be fab. Just find that fleece...

The cut wood will be ground to dust in the tree cutter's mobile machine. I hope I don't seem that desperate ;)

I know what you mean about the aging live performers. It shows a change in me as once I would not have considered the financials but just put it on my credit card :) Its September - a long way away and I've got a lot to do before then - I'll see how I'm fixed then and might source a ticket on the bay of e if necessary although I can imagine I may well not go :(

Thanks DM :) My understanding was that you set the temperature you want and it achieves it for you. Its surely not compulsory that we live at 18 degrees all the time is it?

Well......if so, I might just have to source a discounted fleece and thermal knickers ;)

Pah, Mr Money set it up so I've just worked out how to turn it down . 16 degrees now, but even 18 felt so chilly. We're in a 20 s semi and even with dg :-(, cavity wall insulation and curtains across the doors it is cool, and not in a zeitgeist way.

  • It's not desperation. I love to burn our own wood on the fire.

  • My dad burns pallets DM!! And anything else he can get his hands on! They have two wood burning stoves and the CH runs off the kitchen one :) not great in summer when you have to light a fire in balmy weather just for hot water to wash the pots lol.

But much cheaper!! INOD dad has now cut down every tree in the garden (we had 9 including 4 HUGE sycamores) bar the one holly tree as he likes it ;) all burned to ash! :(
