    Hi All :)

I'm really going through the motions here :p !!

There was a slight air of discontent at Brogden Towers because it was considered that it wasn't 'Christmassy' enough and there weren't enough 'goodies' to look at and savour......so.......I have got loads of stuff......wine, spirits, alcopops, beer, choccies, nuts.......you know the stuff. I have spent an amount which was starting to induce a panic attack but I got a grip as I am not considered to be the the one who has panic attacks......didn't want to let the side down :o !! No use if everybody is gibbering is it ??

I was very MSE on prices and selected my retailers carefully  !! I used mysupermarket.com and even more importantly took in small independent retailers I had earmarked for things in my recconnaissance trips over the last couple of weeks.

    I hope everybody's preparations are going well :) !!

    Christmas is coming,
    The goose is getting fat,
    Please don't buy me,
    A load of tat,
    If you've got no underpants,
    Some socks will do,
But please give me some beers,
And you can have one too :) !!

Quite moving that I thought :rotfl:!!

    Brogden.

  • 'It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas' - Isn't it crazy what we put ourselves through year in year out, my poor gorgeous welsh dresser is looking like a chocolate shop, my cupboards are full to bursting, where in the rules book of life does it say we have to 8 different cheeses and 12 different types of spirits for 2 adults and an 8 year old... Worst bit being I am re-joining slimming world new year :)
O well at least it is just once a year.. I adore Christmas but this last few months trying to start to clear debts has been held to ransom by the blooming elves and Santa !!!

I am just going through the motions myself, reindeer antlers and Rudolf nose on and doing a bit of painting in the downstairs loo :) !!

Yes, we've got eight different cheeses too.....or is it seven? Don't want to be outdone by a Welsh lady :p !!

  • Haha I was thinking late teens early twenteens Mr B... Surely they are not older than this living at home?!? I was off out the door without a backwards glance at 18 ;)

I too have been held to ransom by the Christmas Elves and I don't much care right now. Most of the chocolate was gifted so I didn't buy any :D I don't do booze so none of that apart from some brandy butter, and I have tonnes of gorgeous food that will last for ages. I feel Christmassy and s0d it for one week of the year! I went overbudget but only by £50ish... in 3 categories :( so not a great job of sticking to the budget but far less than if I hadn't set a budget!!

Hope you enjoy your Xmas Mr B. Happy smiling families are what it is all about. x
