Morning Brogden, and a lovely cheerful HAPPY NEW YEAR xx to all at Brogden towers x
I for one love your rants, most go completely go over my head as I of course am too young to remember Jimboy Hendrix, and only Kafka I know wrote a book mentioned in Bridget Jones diary :) .. My life of ignorance I do not apologise for lol..

Love the fact your throwing yourself head first into getting rid of ALL your debts I am doing exactly the same apart from one, which can sit and dwindle away for the foreseeable future.

BTW the Pay it all off by Xmas gang are amazing, you will fit in just perfectly!!.

I would just like to thank you personally for all your help and giving me the shove into self management. I knew I could do it myself, just lacked the confidence to try..

    Thank you my dear :)

I am glad I will fit in with the Xmas gang.....are they all nutters too? ;)

Please don't thank me for any suggestions :) You had it all sorted Dragon :) When you mentioned Barklays, you mantioned you already had a payment plan with them from your time with Step Change so to carry it on directly was perfect. Barklays won't even notice the difference.......they're not known for their 'wild cat intelligence!!!'

Now you are self managed you can move things a little to suit yourself with the caveat that you let the predators know in advance to stem the barrage of pleb calls and pleb letters :)

On the subject of cats, the lovely Puzzcat didn't get into a cat fight with me did she? She showed her claws just enough to frighten me and put me back on the straight and narrow.......a class act. Thanks Puzz :) x

    Speak soon,

Happy New Year Brogden! I found you through AliOK's diary of which I'm a long term lurker, but I wanted to say I will be watching you with interest as our situation is dire but we daren't do anything but manage our mess ourselves! You're doing a great job, good luck as you continue into this new year!
    Molly x

    Hello Molly :)

Thank you for bobbing in.....I am asking myself how I feel about being 'watched with interest :p.' Its like catching a space alien and putting him under the microscope to see how he functions :rotfl:!! Hmmmn......I promise I will try to behave very well :)

If the situation is 'dire' do you really need to be alone with it? Is Step Change worth a call? I went through speaking to them. At the time I couldn't get my head around how payday loan rollovers would work in the context of a 'managed' DMP and that was the main reason for not proceeding and in the end I just did it for myself. I am now glad about this but I could always have leaned on them and gone self-managed later. I was swallowing hard on the sort of monthly payment I should make I have to say but I was such a novice.

It is all very 'sortable' whatever but you probably know that :)

All the best for a 'sorting' 2015.

Happy New Year Brogden and here's to a fab 2015

    Excellent post too. :)

    Thank you Ali :) !!

'Tea with Ali'....that sounds great! Sounds a bit like a well known book :p !!

Thanks for your good wishes for 2015 :) I wished you the best before but I'll bore you and do it again :)

Chill out well and truly before you go back to work and remember with all that you do that a bit of R&R (that's not rock n roll ) allows you to keep on keeping on. I know you have a little trouble with just letting the day go by and so do I. For the next few days that's what we are going to do though :) ......order

Please keep us updated on the mortgage and payments......I know its not just me......it helps us all a lot whether its mortgage (you) or yucky debts (me at the mo') :T

    Thank you Lucielle :)

I am sure I can make a difference. I can't do these 'DFD's' nor 'NSD's' for that matter - I just know its going to get much better than it is currently.....I just wonder how much better and when.

Please pop in for tea and a buttered scone if you're passing :D !!

You never know MiT - you might.......I'm just behaving like a politician......I'm making it up as I go along........David Cameron and Tony Blair told me how to do it :) !!

Seriously there will be a mega improvement for us all - I'm just pledging too much but what the hell........I'll give it a go (like a politician but I might get half way there :D which would be more than them :rotfl:!!)
