Oh NOA......you're just a big kid aren't you? I have heard of sliding into debt but sliding out of it is an interesting one. So.....its two kisses for each stage completed and a massive incentive to get to the end......well Brogden will certainly be working very hard to shift the debt at a rate of knots!!!!
Thank you so much NOA - I hope your day has given you all you deserve so far

Oo two new visitors to Brogden Towers. Hope your Monday is going well so far all x
It has been a busy Sunday and Monday at Brogden Towers Granny. I think I'm going to have to hire another butler and a serving wench to deal with all of my guestsNot bad for a bloke is is?
Congratulations on your diet Granny. I know gentlemen should just admire and not comment but I think its nicer to break with convention and say well done :T !!!

I have only just discovered your diary, and started to read it,but it is now 1.12am,and I really must drag myself to bed.So I am subscribing, and tomorrow night after the sproglodites have gone to bed,I will read it right through, and start cheering you along.
You are doing a fantastic job x
Thank you Saver-UpperWhen I first saw your name I thought of some sort of device that would protect the leather upper of your shoe and I thought that was quite MSE
Then I got it  !!! A bit slow sometimes particularly on a Monday!! :rotfl:
I have been chastised for offering visitors champagne so what would you like my staff or I to prepare for you when the 'sprogeroonies' are in bed? This is what I always called mine.......it was from a cheesy local radio DJ when I was a teen who used to add 'erooney' onto just about everything he said. Totally naff but everybody at school copied him and some of us just carried on.....(sad case) Nobody had heard of Wayne Rooney at the time......the little b#gger probably hadn't been born!

I have made it from start to finish after picking up at around 8:30 this evening.
My song of choice for your blog is Imagine Dragons - It's Time and if you don't have the necessary equipment to listen to it, then google them there lyrics(I am in no way trying to state that you have no ears. I am sure you are very eary. I meant speakers.. headphones.. etc!
)
I would like to know where one can buy shares for Brogden Towers; after reading the shareholders meeting notes, methinks there is never a better time to buy and you're sure going places:D
Also, I read way back there... that you BOUGHT peppercorn sauce. *tut* - have you a beef oxo cube, and equal amounts boiling water & cream? A few crushed peppercorns, or even some bog standard ground black pepper, simmered on a low heat until thickened and there is a lovely sauce, with the spare cream left over for all manner of things. Korma perhaps, or on some pud?!
Lovely to be able to pop in and finally meetcha, instead of bumping into you haphazardly in the corridors of other diaries
Your 'Onwards and Upwards' is the catchphrase of another legendary MSE'er NinjaSavingKat. She dragged me up by my bootstraps when I joined her journey. Whilst I paid off £3000 or so, the lady paid off £16500. She then went on to total another £14k in savings after paying off the debt and is in her first couple of weeks of an epic adventure around the world. So when I see you say that, I know that it is true. Genuinely, there might seem like there are two directions, with one being far less palatable, but you are here, with friends and fellow MSE'ers. Continue to post, everything... minutiae of your day, nitty gritty things that you feel like sharing.. You will feel that much better for it. A problem shared, is halved, and likewise a victory is doubled for every person who shares it with you.
Apologies that it is Monday tomorrow. I will be feeling your pain on Tuesday. I normally work Weds - Fri but am subbing in a Tuesday to allow me hours at the hospital on Thursday. Soul destroying really... Tomorrow I need to make food for the week and get a bit more creative than the banana bread and lasagne I attempted for the first time today. T'ain't gonna feed me for long
Hugs to you n yours!
Hi Lilt,
Sorry for replying to you late.....there was a reason.......I had to crank up my equipment!! I have a line from the PC to an external sound card (brilliant) to my hi-fi amp and speakers or cordless headphones. I remain totally gobsmacked from a guy who used to collect LP's at the gargantuan jukebox I have now and all of it is reproduced in perfect clarity (no MP3/4's.) I can destroy the neighbourhood with crystal clear and warm sound whenever required. Seriously........music has always been a complete obsession......I keep moving towards jazz / ambient stuff that calms the mind and creates an atmosphere of its own......perhaps one does like this sort of approach when on a DMP
Was it the Queen said that?
I do jazz / funk / soul / folk / metal / avant garde. Something will just be so right for a moment and will say (with words or not) where I am at any time. That's true of anybody who likes any type of music which is virtually everybody in the world!
Peppercorn sauce? Colmans? Yes I take on board what you say but there are certain things that stand in this house and far be it from Brogden to try to change them. I did OK with the Morrison's M&M bonus on that one so all OK! There are plenty of things I'd like to do in the kitchen but with four adults of differing tastes and the veg v non-veg scene it has to be! It is much simpler in other households I know :rotfl:!!! I am an awkward b#gger myself!! (although not as awkward as everybody else because I am male
;););););)!!)
Have a lovely evening m'dear. I expect little'un is fast asleep now.
Brogden x0 -
She is indeed fast asleep, but not in her usual manner of sweetly climbing into bed with a goodnight when a dummy is handed over. She did NOT want to go to bed tonight. Got a cold, and it makes her a fiery little thing. Just like her mother
Hahahaha!! I like the sound of your equipment. I have a friend whose kitchen rebuild/walls knocked down etc was in part due to the requirement for a space large enough to hold his decks. He posts regular videos of his 9 year old scratching vinyls
So sorry to cause offence regards the sauce!I just find that made that way it is 100x better than a packet mix. Cheese sauce? Colmans every time :rotfl: we all have our quirks.
Off to play with my budgets. Have a lovely evening yourself!

Aw thanks for noticing Mr B, Im at the stage when I'm happy if people mention it, whatever their gender. 3.5months of a very strict diet with OH eating cakes, chocolate bars, flavoured creamy lattes and lately mince pies is torture but seeing the results in my clothes labels and through others comments makes it worth it. Here we go all you doubting Thomas's, Thomasina's and Tamsyn's.
The firm was founded by a Malcolm Billington so B & M appears to be the initials of his name in reverse order. They floated on the stock exchange this year - their performance has been better than Brogden's!
This is not an advert so to prove it I'll say that their alcohol offerings are not too excitingNot that anybody is at all interested in alcoholic beverages
!!
Have a great day all.

Wasn't he a pretty ghost SS! I used to watch R and H avidly - thought he was so dashing in his white suit (oh for those primary school girl crushes:p when one was so easily impressed!)
