    Good Morning All :)

    Its Saturday………:T

I made it through the rain,
    I kept my world protected,
I made it through the rain,
I kept my point of view…….

Nothing like a bit of Manilow in the morning :rotfl: (wot awful lyrics)

Time for a financial update…..I feel I must give an advance warning…..it is absolute rubbish, as the CFO announced to the disgruntled shareholders (must be Tesco that one!!!) Well, I obviously have something in common with those in high places. :rotfl:

OK, OK, OK!!!!! Off we go……(beads of sweat on the brow, mouth dries, fingers fidget…..)

‘In the month of November 2014 the Brogden National Dept reduced by just £58.05.’ :(

A stunned silence suddenly grips the room…………..the sound of a single paper clip touching the table, a faint and hopeless sigh………somebody shuffles on their seat……

Brogden nervously moves his weight from his left foot to his right and then back to his left. The air is solid with a shock and disappointment still to be truly heard. Brogden thinks of those who have always inspired him ….David Cameron and Tony Blair although he could name hundreds who are just the same. He asks himself what they would do in this wretched position and he has a solution……or more correctly something he can ‘try’………deflect the audience’s attention and errrrrrr…..SPIN

‘Since the month of September 2014 the Brogden National Debt has been reduced by more than £1,000 and I would ask you to all note that of the 20 original active predators there are now only 18. It was my intention as I stand to address you today that there be only 17. However, a bunch of mumpties known as 247 Moneybox who I had good reason to write off have reappeared and I have no choice but to include this debt in my report.’ I can confirm ladies and gentlemen that Motormile Finance and Opos have been paid and we will not hear from them again.’ :)

‘In our battle against debt, if we can be paying down the liability whilst simultaneously reducing the number of predators we will at the end of the day win the war. I put it to you, taking account of the difficult climate which prevails that Brogden has performed very well.’ :o

Brogden hoped that by diverting the audience’s attention to the reduced number of predators that he would get away with the unavoidable truth that his November performance was absolute CARP. His position must surely now be in some jeopardy. He is absolutely bursting for a wee and as he rushes from the room he hears the sounds of raised voices, a pen is thrown, furniture kicked……..:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Signature updated…….the performance may be CARP but at least there’s no false accounting (T3sco take note!!!!)

Have a great day all :)

  • Evening Brogden,
Sorry but last night's lengthy reply disappeared into cyberspace and I'm going to blame my carp broadband connection as we live literally in the middle of nowhere and internet connection is via satellite. Aaaargh!
(Nothing to do with the very lush Rioja, honest)
Anyway don't be disappointed with your score on the door for debt reducing, the good thing is that it's downward and not increasing. Be proud of yourself because your tackling it and I think that's what's important.
    You're doing brilliantly.
    Happy weekend, Helena:j
