Anyone here own a GT86/BRZ?
I spotted two Toyota GT86s yesterday (one in the car park at work and one driving between Aberdeen and Perth, both red), it's the first time I've seen, or at least noticed, it and I thought it looked pretty good.
As I'm considering replacing my car for something with a bit more go (not difficult when you drive a 1.25 Fiesta) I wondered if anyone owns as their daily driver either the Toyota or the Subaru BRZ, and if so whether there are any plus or minus points they could share?

Get an Octavia vRS, faster and better."We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein0

The vRS is an undeniably good car, but what exactly makes you say that ? ^^0

I drive one so I am able to provide an entirely impartial and unbiased opinion.

GT86, drove one, it's a nice car, looks and feels great...... BUT it's slower than it looks/feels, so you spend all that money on something which is a VERY big compromise of a car and then you get blown away at the first set of lights you come to by a Diesel Audi that cost less than the GT86 did. In fact it's no faster than the bug eyed MRS that came before it.
It's a real shame they took a great concept and turned into into a gutless wonder.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Dear me, there is no comparison.
What could be more dull than an identikit FWD tractor engined shopping trolley, take away the Audi badge (quite why anyone's remotely attracted to one i can't fathom) and it could be anything.
Life doesn't revolve around beating people away from the lights in a cloned car, well ok it does in company car land (please Lord keep me away from such people), there's such a thing as individuality and enjoying something for its beauty and for just what it is.0 -

I don't think you'll see anything in my post asking for alternative suggestions, I want views on the two cars listed. While your post may be useful in other threads in this one it was a waste of your time writing it and mine reading it, so if you have nothing useful to contribute about the GT86 or the BRZ can I respectfully ask you to stay away?0
